When do you think we will be able to upgrade to version 8?

In the end of the year Centos6 is EOL. I suppose there is a lot CentOS6 installations and eventual migration to CentOS8 will be better instead of migration to CentOS7. Do you have any progress with CentOS8 version?
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

I'm system administrator and for me is quite strange have to reinstall my servers everythime when a new OS is released. CentOS6 dosen't support distributive upgrade - something which is given in most of the Linux distributions - Debian, Slackware, Suse etc... Your question totally unnecessary and offtopic.

Running CentOS8 with CWP, within Docker.
works just fine.. :)
Manually installed BIND, and PRE Installed mariadb.
Took me all about 3 Complete installs.. no problems.
