Google Compute Engine Clear Instruction Please
« on: April 04, 2015, 06:30:18 PM »
Hello CWP Forum member.

I would like to ask some questions to the community. Hope someone can resolve my issues.

I have installed CWP on google compute engine successfully.

Goolgle Compute Engine is like Amazon EC2 servers. Where you can create your own virtual instance.

Now I have created Cent OS 6 Instance and then installed CWP in that instance.

Now there are two kinds of IP addresses. One is Internal and other is External.

Using external IP I can access the CWP.

Here is my IP http://104.155.193.135:2030

Now what I want to do is described below in few steps.

1. I have registered my domain name with godaddy which is tetapose.com
2. I have one IP which I got from Google Compute Engine.
3. Default NameServer in godaddy is
        ns67.domaincontrol.com
        ns68.domaincontrol.com
4. Now I want to transfer my website into google compute engine which has CWP installed

Here is the steps that I have performed

1. I changed the @ entry of tetapose.com in godaddy to 104.155.193.135 (Now, tetapose.com redirects to HTTP Test Page powered by CWP :) )
2. I created an account in CWP with the domain name tetapose.com
3. Then I created blank html file in that account

Now, when I try to access tetapose.com it still redirects to HTTP Test Page powered by CWP  :(

So, my first question is

1. How to redirect tetapose.com to its own folder
2. If I have to change the name server in main account then what should I do with those fields?
    Do I have to change
ns1.centos-web-panel.com/ns2.cent-os-webpanel.com to something else? (like to my godaddy's default name server?)
     Which IP should I use? (104.155.193.135 ?)
3. What should be the shared IP in my CWP?
     Right now it is 104.155.193.135
4. If I have to change NameServer to something like ns1.tetapose.com ns2.tetapose.com and then I need to host the same domain with CWP. So, what extra steps do I have to perform for that?

Hope Someone can answer these questions.

Thanks in advance.

Well, the ip address listed for tetapose.com is 103.21.59.201 which is different than you stated.
The nameservers for tetapose.com are ns1.md-in-12.webhostbox.net
Perhaps your domain name info has not fully propagated yet.

Point 1. How to redirect tetapose.com to its own folder
Did you even added user or domain in CWP? If yes, is there any entry of error in error_log file?

Point 2&4.  If I have to change the name server in main account then what should I do with those fields?

You need to register nameserver first with godaddy and then in cwp (DNS Functions ---> Edit Nameserver IP's) you need to add them.

Point 3. What should be the shared IP in my CWP?  Right now it is 104.155.193.135

Yes this config is correct as per documented.

For Google compute engine in CWP Setting don't use the same IP that is being used for cwp admin panel. Use the default IP that will be suggesting just below to the field of Shared IP in cwp setting.

In google compute VM Instance you'll find two IP's internal and external

For domain name server setting use external IP while in cwp setting change Shared Ip to your internal IP.

After 10-15 minutes use Kproxy to browse your site again should work then.
