install in centos 9
« on: May 07, 2025, 02:58:10 PM »
Hi, has anyone tried to install cpanel on centos 9? It's giving me an error and it's always asking me for my MySQL password. I try to log in with the root password but nothing.

CentOS 9 Stream is not recommended as the foundation for a stable production server. Stream is a rolling release, beta-quality OS. Look to AlmaLinux 9 if you need a good EL9 server foundation.

The MariaDB root password is different from the main root password.

It would have shown on the screen after CWP finished installing.

Write down login details and press ENTER for server reboot!

CentOS is a beta OS now, and should not be used for production as it now just a test platform for REHL.

CWP works well on AlmaLinux 9.x, with a few minor bug here & there.
