I installed fresh CentOS web panel, on fresh VPS (Amazon AWS EC2).
After installation on web panel login screen I entered wrong password and username as "root", and it said "Account Suspended"
My Question:
How to un-suspended root account?
How to find root SSH password? or How to reset root CentOS web panel password?
Note:
Amazon EC2 gives private key files (.ppk) to login to SSH, hence I do not have root SSH password.
I am able to login into SSH and FTP using root as username and .ppk file.

Hello!
I have the same problem. Is there any way to unsuspend root?
Thank's!

please contact support and include root login so this can be checked.

try checking if you have any other account which has root in name and you will need to remove it.
fix for this issue is added and it will be updated with new release.
grep root /etc/shadow

Same problem, except it had nothing to do with root.
A client account was suspended & I found out why … the password was too complicated ^_^
Somehow the password: 23bS-jro,%a4:{H*
lead to a (possible) BUG, and it wasn't possible to log into CWP.
After changing the password to a more simpler version, everything was fine ;)

The problem still continues.
If the password is a bit more complicated, with special characters, the account is suspended and can not log in.
Just put a simple password to work.
This needs to be fixed.

we will have this checked and resolved for next cwp updates.
