Migration to...
« on: May 16, 2026, 06:47:25 PM »
This is more of a migration to question then a migration from question. I have had it with CWP, lack of updates, no support for PHP 8.4/8.5, it's like pulling teeth to update mariabd and on and on and on.

I have found a GREAT panel and tried it on an old amd atlon cpu with 6gb ram and 100gb drive and it rocks. But I want to know if anyone has ever used it before I go switching, you know the whole 2 heads are better than one thing hehe.

If you HAVE used Panelica on your OWN vps/server I would like to hear from you and what you think/thought about it. It is like this, free forever but has higher levels. I tried it out, they gave me premium features for 14 days and I fell in love with it. Please, if you have tried or if you use it, let me know what you think vs cwp, vs cpanel, vs directadmin, vs aapanel and so on.

Thanks, much appreciate your input.

Never heard of it before. It's only live this year and was in beta since 2024, so 2 years old. You would have to switch lineages to use it (Debian/Ubuntu), so a fresh install needed. I personally couldn't use it because its pricing is comparable to cPanel for the number of domains I host (a lot of my user accounts has multiple domain permutations so domains is a heavier count than users).

Looks like another HestiaCP (which is free, no matter the amount of domains) with a different theme.

Have to agree that CWP doesn't officially have PHP 8.4 & 8.5, but there are guides on alphagnu.com that show you how to add that support.

But the main problem of PHP is they dropped some modules in 8.4, and they now have to be loaded via PECL.

If you have the MariaDB.repo file setup, MariaDB updates simply with just dnf update.
Speaking of which, 10.11.17-1 just hit.

But if you like that panel, and like Debian, check out HestiaCP. https://hestiacp.com

There is also CyberPanel that supports AlmaLinux 10 and PHP 8.5.
The current CSF 15.10 also fully works with it.

I'm very sorry to hear this here. We're working hard on many updates at once, and we plan to release the new PHP updates by the end of the week along with other reported changes and fixes.
