Title: Unable to update to MariaDB 10.6.0 or higher
Post by: Painkiller88 on July 24, 2026, 06:16:24 PM
I am running CWP on Alma Linux 8 and my actual version of MariaDB is 10.5.29

I need to update it as new versions of Nextcloud are requiring it and softaculous is giving me an error:

Required MARIADB version is greater than or equal to 10.6.0, and the version found is: 10.5.29

I get an error updating nextcloud that i need to update to at least MariaDB 10.6.0

I tried everything in updating also adding the direct mariadb repo but it ist not working for me.

So i am hoping one of you linux professionals could help me and i don't understand, why Alma or CWP is not offering this update using the YUM Manager.

Thanks in advice.
