Why is this module not available from php8?

Which version of php 8 specifically? 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3?

In any version from 8.0.

This module was in all old PHP versions.

I installed memcached on the server but I am unable to make it work or have it appear in the php info. I use PHP 8.1, in previous php versions just by activating the module everything was perfect.
