hello,

postfix is giving this warning : warning: database /etc/postfix/vmail_ssl.map.db is older than source file /etc/postfix/vmail_ssl.map

i tried to run the below suggested commands from cwp forum thread : http://forum.centos-webpanel.com/postfix/i-can-send-email-but-i-can%27t-receive/

$ postmap -F hash:/etc/postfix/vmail_ssl.map
$ service postfix reload

but no luck , the warning is still appearing .

can someone suggest me a workaround for this ?

Regards,

Zeeshan Javed

the service postfix reload had no effect so i tried service postfix stop and service postfix start. and now the warning has changed to as below:
what should be the correct ower for the below two files? i tried changing it to root and the postfix service crashed and failed to restart ????

: warning: not owned by root: /etc/postfix/./vacation.php
: warning: not owned by root: /etc/postfix/./mysql-virtual_vacation.cf

chown root:mail both of those files

on my other server which is also running cwp pro these files have same owner i.e.

-rw-r-----. 1 vacation mail   211 May 22 11:22 mysql-virtual_vacation.cf
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 vacation root  2599 Mar 10 01:47 vacation.php

and there is no error on that server.

the above mentioned warnings were gone after postfix service stop start multiple times . this is strange as there seems to be some mishandling of user permissions by cwp.

who is misleading permission, from our side it is fine

then why the same issue keep on appearing for multiple files and services and go away just by restarting the service ?  same thing is happening with PID files which exists with a valid PID but it says cant find or open file. again it disappear after service restart

rebuild mail server will fix any issue with it. Pid which you didn't need to give attention
