« on: April 30, 2018, 03:09:28 PM »
Hi Could you please breakdown the steps to install Wildcard SSL.
I am having issues doing the process, and I really do not know what content I should be copying where.

Installation / Re: mysql_socat failing for new remote database server
« on: February 15, 2018, 08:35:37 PM »
Did a reinstall and resolved it.
Firewall is also enabled now.
Not sure what was the earlier issue.
Also had to update create a postfix user id and password should be similar to what on webserver:
cat /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/postfix.php

Installation / Re: CWP core module installation
« on: February 14, 2018, 11:19:36 PM »
I believe the core module cannot be broken into pieces because of the configuration in place.
This is to avoid manual intervention to make it an easy deployment than a cumbersome one.
If you plan to segregate you might have to plan on looking into existing wikis http://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/

Installation / Re: Root Partitions /Dev/Root
« on: February 14, 2018, 11:14:43 PM »
I believe this works fine with even 20GB /dev/mapper/root space.
Your backups might be taking up space depending on what you are running.
If Backups or logs are taking a lot of root space.
You might have to consider adding further disk and creating segregated file system and bind those location.

Installation / Re: I have two SECURITY WARNING....
« on: February 14, 2018, 11:10:35 PM »Are there any disadvantages to hiding all processes if not owned by the user ?
I ask from a position of total ignorance on this subject and the point of view of the server administrator who is managing a number of clients websites
I do not see any disadvantages.
If you are hosting wordpress based websites Mod security is something you have to look into.
But otherwise the above messages should not impact anything.

Installation / mysql_socat failing for new remote database server
« on: February 14, 2018, 09:21:29 PM »
Hi All
I was able to correctly follow the instruction provided in the wiki link
http://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/remote-mysql-with-socat-socket
Which worked perfectly fine but I end up rebuilding the database server due to lack of disk now when I connect using new IP it says connection refused.
Though CWP confirms it could connect on socat 3307 but vice-versa cannot.
Not sure if I have to rebuild cwp again since I checked netstat -nltp is not showing any port 3307
Also do I have to disable firewall?
What should be the CSF firewall rule for this?
