(add the necessary PHP versions)
and then try to compile PHP-FPM.
Nice but it fails to download the php.

On alma linux 9 try to login to the user panel using there name and the servers root password did it work ?
If so open nano /etc/login.defs
Find
SHA_CRYPT_MAX_ROUNDS 10000
replace with
#SHA_CRYPT_MAX_ROUNDS 10000
Now set the user a new password.
If so open nano /etc/login.defs
Find
SHA_CRYPT_MAX_ROUNDS 10000
replace with
#SHA_CRYPT_MAX_ROUNDS 10000
Now set the user a new password.

I'm running alma 8 and 9 no issues.
I also have 9 on redhat 9.4 but that has php issues (yes i know redhat it's self is not recommended i am just playing with it.)

Issue solved it took many hours but it turned out to be a rogue bit of code in an htaccess file thanks for the hints tho.
Cwp in general has ran fine the last 4 years for me i'v managed so solve many issues without the need to post but this one got me at a time my head is else where. (loss of family members)
