Installation / Re: CentOS Stream Support
« on: December 09, 2020, 09:49:03 PM »
This is a REALLY big deal. I've been reading up on this since last night. Here are the big highlights that everyone needs to understand.
Lots of good reading on Reddit on the topic...

Sounds like the current CentOS community will be jumping ship to Debian, Ubuntu or FreeBSD. There is a possible CentOS fork in the future, also.
I'll be unfortunately leaving CWP Pro with this CentOS announcement and shiting towards Debian and ISPManager. It's a shame because I really liked CWP Pro.
- CentOS is essentially becoming beta software. It will no longer carry the reliability and stability it has in past years.
- CentOS 7 will be supported until 2024.
- CentOS 8 will be only supported until Dec 2021 (yes, not a typo)

CentOS 6 Problems / Re: Migration wordpress site to CWP from cpanel error 500
« on: May 25, 2020, 04:03:32 AM »
I know this is an old topic...but I struggled with this quite a bit today and I finally figured out my unique problem. The password I was using started with a % and for some reason it would not let me connect to MySQL with it. Once I changed the first character to a letter or number, it worked.
I'm not sure if the password was never properly created with the % in the MySQL setup area, or if CWP just doesn't handle MySQL passwords with % at the beginning. Might be a bug somewhere in CWP. I use CentOS 7.
