CentOS 7 Problems / Re: Domain Name disappears
« on: September 04, 2021, 03:08:18 AM »
the issue is that the system hides the first domain listed.. the domain doesn't even show in the users domain list.. this also causes issues with changing a default domain to a different domain and kills email options for the domain that was changed..

did you get a pointer record from your isp for your static ip?
just like an A host record points to your server you need a reverse record to point to the server as well. Pointer or PTR record resolves your IP to your servers FQDN

E-Mail / rainloop integration into cwp
« on: August 27, 2021, 12:42:42 AM »
I have searched the web and have found no tutorials to make rainloop work with cwp.. i am not a fan of the outdated roundcube.. first no built in 2fa. and the vb install scripts that pop up in cwp are for windows live mail (Microsoft’s Outlook Team announced on May 5th, 2016 that the Windows Live Mail application will reach it’s End of Life (EOL) on June 30th, 2016.).. not sure why there are setups for a dead program unless someone is just too lazy to remove unusable junk..
other issues I have seen regarding the email in cwp is that it defaults the email settings to your main domain even if your setting up emails for a different one.. of course these settings wont work but it is confusing to end users when I have to say "ignore those they aren't right " and "Use these"..

sure... sure... i posted an issue 11/03/20 still no reply but other questions have got reply's.. so forgive me if i choose not to trust my 40 web servers to cwp and there lack of support. But i'm sure there support is good enough for your one server on digital ocean

so far if this is your support structure im not impressed.. i have ran webmin, cpanel, zpanel/sentora, and i have cwp running but if there is no replys when support is needed im not going to pay for pro version just to be fucked when a problem does come up.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: What Nameserver should I use?
« on: November 03, 2020, 03:45:54 AM »
simple?
so if my server ip is 123.456.789.123 and my server fqdn is svr1.myserver.com
should i use ns1.myserver.com @ 123.456.789.123
and add a A-host record at godaddy to resolve ns1 to 123.456.789.123.
or since the domain myserver.com cant be added to the server do i need to add a domain to the system like hostingserver.com and add ns1.hostingserver.com @ 123.456.789.123 and again add a host record as above?

CentOS 7 Problems / Domain Name disappears
« on: November 03, 2020, 03:17:04 AM »
after installation it seem that the first domain i try to add disappears and becomes unusable. i added a bs fake domain name so i could actually add a good domain name and test the server. other than the domain becoming unusable i haven't ran into any issues. i will be setting this up on a dell r610 behind a sonicwall soho next for further testing.
