SSL / Re: CWP-0.9.8.17(04-07-2016) Initialized empty Git repository - Let's encrypt module
« on: July 05, 2016, 10:16:46 PM »
I tried it today but it looks like the letsencrypt.conf and apache2 templates are blank.
I did have LE manually installed but I removed all that and all the SSL certs i'd generated before installing the module

Indeed
Atm on the VM i'm using the only ports accessable from the internet at large inbound are 80/443 (DNS.etc is hosted elsewhere).
Also most outbound ports are firewalled as well.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / SSL cert manager is bugged.

Seems if you set the directory to /public_html/ or /public_html it tries to use /home/user/public_html/public_html/
if you set it to / or nothing it tries to use /home/user

The easier option is to just not host anything but my own stuff on the CWP box then it's less of a worry as I'll know exactly how well stuff is patched.etc
Also worst case I can just switch it off if I Needed to.
Might just suggest to the friends they go direct to the host who's cloud platform they're on already.
Used to run a cpanel box years ago, gave it up because I couldn't gurantee being able to dedicate the time to investingating issues in a timely fashon (I'd have locked it down/offline'd it if It did get hacked, but It might have then taking me a while to then get something sorted/investigate it properly)

CloudLinux / Cloudlinux or not?

If I'm hosting a few friends on the server is cloud linux worth the cost, as I'm not really concered about resource abuse (They're small sites and not likely to unless they get hacked)
The only reason I can see for thinking about CL was the cageFS stuff?

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Duplicate PHP selector button?
« on: June 23, 2016, 07:21:01 AM »
Installed a copy of CWP on a VM I created to have a poke around and see if it can do what i need, for the most part it seems it does. (Other than DNS replication, but it looks like that could be scripted)
However when I login as my test user on both firefox and chrome I get a out of place blank box/button that also goes to php selector
Testing on a cloudlinux trial
