Dear CWP Support Team and Community,

I am compelled to bring to public attention a critical issue regarding my paid high-priority support ticket (#487931), which has severely impacted my production server and, consequently, my business operations.​

Incident Overview:

I engaged CWP's paid support services to address a MySQL server failure and to facilitate database recovery from a backup. The assigned technician, Igor S., purported to resolve the issues; however, subsequent verifications revealed:​

Persistent MySQL service failures.​

Inaccessibility of Roundcube webmail.​

Postfix authentication errors.​

Upon reporting these unresolved issues and providing detailed evidence, Igor S. responded unprofessionally by:​

Denying the existence of the reported problems.​

Issuing personal insults and labeling me a liar.​

Deliberately reverting all implemented fixes, exacerbating the server's instability.​

This conduct is not only unprofessional but has also left my production server inoperable, directly affecting my business operations.​

Supporting Evidence:

I have comprehensive documentation of all interactions, including:​

Email correspondences.​

Support ticket transcripts.​

Screenshots of error messages and system statuses.​

Immediate Actions Requested:

A formal acknowledgment and apology from CWP regarding the misconduct of the support staff.​

A full refund for the support services that not only failed to resolve the issues but also aggravated them.​

Assignment of a competent technician to urgently rectify the server issues.​

An internal review of support protocols to prevent recurrence of such incidents.​

Urgency:

Given the critical nature of this situation, I require a response within 24 hours. Failure to address this will compel me to:​

Publicize this experience across relevant platforms and forums.​

Initiate a payment dispute for services not rendered as promised.​

Seek legal counsel to assess potential remedies for business losses incurred.​

I trust that CWP will address this matter with the seriousness it warrants and look forward to a prompt resolution.​

Hello,

I'm posting here as a last resort because of a critical issue with my paid high-priority support ticket (#487931) involving a production server running CWP.

I requested assistance for restoring MySQL and importing databases from backup. Instead of resolving the issue, the assigned technician (Igor S.) introduced further problems—particularly with Roundcube and Postfix—and then, when I pointed these out, responded with insults, called me a liar, and explicitly stated he was reverting all fixes and closing the ticket out of anger.

The service is now in a worse state than before support began, and my business is being directly impacted.

I've already contacted support via email (info@centos-webpanel.com) with a formal complaint and request for refund. However, since this is urgent and support has not responded yet, I'm posting this here to:

Escalate the matter to someone capable of resolving it

Share my experience with other users

Ask if others have experienced similar issues with paid support

I have full logs and screenshots to support everything stated here. I am requesting:

A proper technician to resolve the issue immediately

A refund for the sabotaged ticket

A formal apology for the unprofessional conduct

If no response is received shortly, I will proceed with payment dispute, legal review, and public exposure across relevant admin forums.

CentOS 8 Problems / NodeJS issue

Hi All,

Installed NodeJS 20.11.0 and tried to set it up for one of the user profiles and keep getting an issue.

When I go to the Node.js Manager, I get the add new application now. When the general settings come up, I select the user account and the NodeJS Version says First install of NodeJS version. I select it and the configuration comes up. I select the version and install. Once completed, it shows None NodeJS version installed!

Postfix / Not sending or receiving emails

Got an issue with postfix. It is not sending or receiving emails. I don't get a bounce back, just the emails not coming in or going out.

Let me know what you need to help with the issue.

CSF Firewall / Block host names

Hi All,

In CSF, and I block a hostname? My WP sites are getting hammered by AWS hosts and it is causing a lot of grief. I have WordFence set to kill access for a month with the wrong username/password/recovery attempts, but they just keep coming and eating up bandwidth and resources. It is getting ridiculous and shooting. Shooting their abuse email every day about 10-20 times a day telling them to get the IP fixed, but they take forever to do anything.

Trying to block any hostname that ends in compute.amazonaws.com

CSF Firewall / Only allow one country user level

I have a user who wants to block access to her website for any country other than Canada. Since there are other users, I don't want to update the main system to block all but Canadian IP access. How can this be achieved?

Other / Traffic from unknown URL

Looking for a little help.

My Colocator contacted me about excessive traffic on the server. After monitoring for a few hours, it appears my server is getting hits based on a domain name that I don't have. It's like someone is pointing a subdomain at my servers IP address and hammering it for requests.

Any idea how I can get it to stop?

CentOS 7 Problems / BIND DNS Server - Failed

Hello All,

New install of Centos 7 with CWP.

After install and config it cannot start the BIND DNS Server. Here's the error when I try to start it:

I try to edit the Nameservers IP and names to the Google DNS servers and get the following:

E-Mail / Mail Queue is capturing every email

Hi All,

The mail queue is capturing every email that comes in. Not sure why for it was okay until this morning. Now it captures every email and when I try to process it pushes the emails out but still shows them in the queue.

Did a rebuild and still it's happening.

Any ideas?

MySQL / User not able to create MySQL user

Just added a user to CWP and their domains are up and running. When they try to create a database and user the database creates but the user does not.

I can go in and create a database and user for the user through the admin log in but the user is still unable to see the user for the db and no scripts can connect to the database.

Any ideas?

I have screen captures but unable to attach them.

CentOS 6 Problems / MySQL Root Password issues

Hi,

The root password for the MySQL server keeps coming up with a problem. I kills all access to the MySQL databases. When I see it, I log in and run the script to reset the root password and everything is fine. Problem is, I don't know when the password stops working so I need to monitor it all the time. Once it did this in the middle of the night and I didn't see it until 8 hours later, causing a lot of issues.

DNS / new user domain going to main...

Hi Support,

Usually find the answers myself but this time it is not working.

Pointed the DNS as the server a few days ago and then added a new user to the server with the domain. When I go to the domain it resolves to the root directory of the host and shows the contents:

laravel/
php.ini
phpMyAdmin/
roundcube/
webftp_simple/

Very concerned about this and removed the domain. Need to have this resolved and help will be great.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / User Log In not resolving

Hi,

Trying to get the user log in to the hosting panel working. When they go to the site, all they get is an unresolved.

Try to log into the main panel with the user credentials and it points to the IP with port 2083.

Any ideas?

E-Mail / Email just stopped working

It was okay on Sunday, now it is bouncing and unable to send. Here's the test send message:

Any ideas?

Note: Can still log into round cube and see the email addresses on the server.

CentOS 6 Problems / Swap and Cron Jobs

Hi Everyone.

System Info:
CPU Model: QEMU Virtual CPU version (cpu64-rhel6)
CPU Details: 2 Core (2100 MHz)
Ram 3 Gig
Distro Name: CentOS release 6.9 (Final)
Kernel Version: 2.6.32-696.10.2.el6.x86_64
Platform: x86_64 [kvm]

Issue: Swap keeps overloading after a couple of days uptime. I put in a cron to turn off and on the swap to clear it but the cron does not appear to be running. So the issue is two fold. Swap getting full after two days and cron not working. Any ideas?
