CentOS 6 Problems / Re: CentOS 6.6 Final on OpenVZ VPS unable to connect to SMTP
« on: December 23, 2014, 08:55:04 AM »
Hi
im sure you tried , but did you test after stopping iptables , and does your vps have any additional firewall like the Parallels panels sometimes do , also was the server install a minimal install or is there a chance the template contains postfix already ?
also what do you get in tail -f /var/log/maillog ?

Hi
Is the owner correct in your vhosts ie
SuexecUserGroup = (the correct owner and group) i dont think php-gd would have caused any major issues its pretty standard, im assuming you restarted httpd ? if so had you made any other changes before restarting after install php-gd ?

Apache / Re: How to remove Apache Server Status?
« on: December 23, 2014, 08:39:29 AM »
Please explain more , are you going to that url (http://yoursite.ltd/server-status) after you login ? there is no security risk in seeing the status or the module being there , its not visible if you're not authenticated

Apache / Re: The server's fully qualified domain name

Try setting the hostname by using the hostname command
1.connect to the server via ssh
2.su or sudo if required (if not logged in as root) and type hostname your.fqdn.com ( this is your fqdn not what i typed here)
3.restart httpd using service httpd restart

Installation / Re: Existing server install, KILLED My server!

Are the sites gone or just not where CWP is configured to look for them ? you can change the template to point to the location they were at , or move them to home and edit vhosts , most of the config can be changed in the config files to point to where the databases , dovecot and postfix files are

Installation / Re: CWP - suitable for a single user/domain CP?
« on: December 22, 2014, 07:17:57 AM »
You can set your hosting package to large limits ( effectively all resources will be yours ) add one user and one domain with a package that allocates almost all the resources to that one user and then set your sites and mail accounts up under that domain

You can generate new certificates in CWP under Security ssl generator and then just change /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf under SSL to the new file names

Apache / Re: General bug !
« on: December 18, 2014, 07:28:38 AM »
Try delete the user and domain (backup the web folder first) then delete the zone if its not automatically removed and re add the user and domain , it can happen if you change hostname or shared ip and forget to rebuild vhosts, ALSO make sure Varnish and httpd are set to different hosts if varnish is listening on port 80 and httpd is on 80 you will get that error

How to / Re: How to Zip/Unzip on CWP
« on: December 17, 2014, 11:04:05 AM »
ok i understand , you will find it in the same folder as the folder you are zipping , so if you wish to zip /home recursively the zip file will be in / otherwise you can specify the path to where you want the zip file to be made to.

permission and (or) owner of the file is wrong , use fix permissions option under user accounts to fix it and it should work

Try and set your Varnish (if you use it) or shared ip to 127.0.0.1 and rebuild virtual hosts
