CentOS 7 Problems / File Manager saving 0 bytes files ( No content)

I have an account which was migrated from cpanel.

When i try to save any file from file manager, all the content in the file gets erased (It becomes 0 byte file)

I restored couple of accounts through cpanel backup using cpanel restore option.

Accounts working fine.

But if I try to delete a Mysql database, I get the error duplicate database. (But I am able to delete same database from admin panel)

I was inside cwp admin.

I saw the message "New cwp ersion available"

i upgraded. it said cwp "up to date"

There was not any issues with CWP.

I rebooted the server.

Now seeing 500 error

https://185.203.118.254:2031/

Somewhere saw a message that it may be due to ssl and run

sh /scripts/generate_hostname_ssl

Now even SSL error is coming.

Please help

CentOS 7 Problems / Deleting the backups folder is crashing the server

Is the backup folder an essential part of the cwp system?

1. The space consumed inside is not counted in diskspace.

2. My VPS has got filled with files (I have disabled backups now) with monthly, weekly and daily backups.

CentOS 7 Problems / User group nobody

I imported a account through cwp to cwp migration.

I saw that all folders and groups had some number (1009 i guess as owner and group)

I used fix permissions for the account.

I looks fixed most folders except 'public_html'

It is showing user correctly but group set to nobody

If I save any file here, file is getting saved as blank 0 byte file

E-Mail / Re: Move "/var/vmail" to "/home/vmail"

The ideal location would/should be /home/%user%/mail
Will also easily allow email to be included in a user's quota.
(As said a few times in the past.)

Hope we will get a solution for this.

Probably related to the poor idea of storing emails in /var/mail, rather than the users' home directories.
I have mentioned in the past that they should be stored in /home/user_name/mail, for example.
Ideally, user databases should also be stored in the user's directory, though that is due to the poor mysql default.
(The only use for the current structure that makes any sense is to store email/database data on another server/disc. Storage location should be an option, for both emails and databases.)

Is it possible to achieve?

Thank you. I had same issue.

I was not able to login to user account after cwp to cwp migration. Although there was already a package associated with imported account, it was not logging me in.

Just changing the package helped me fix it.

If I revert back to old package (It was also migrated), I can not login.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / cwp to cwp migration and Mysql

I have noticed the following issues.

1. For some accounts, my sql doesnt get migrated.

2. In another account, I see the following issues
      a. There were 2 databases and 2 users. In user control panel I see only databses.
      b. In main control panel I see 2 db and 1 user
      c. I am not able to associate any db with any user
3. Now, I am trying to add a new db, I cant see that in phpmyadmin

2 databased imported from original server


phpmyadmin from main panel shows 2 original DBs. The new DB created from user panel after migration is disassociated (arogyas_com) and not accessible from user panel


Mysql tab from main panel shows all 3 DBs, only 2 users (Other missing user is actually working. Its connected to a wordpress site which is working with password which was set in original server)


mysql manager in user panel. I am able to add DB, users etc. But If I add new users to migrated DB, the users do not show up.

Is this host a server? If so, disable NetworkManager... as it was really designed for laptop use (example roaming wireless) and not a server which is typically configured with a static ip. To this day it boggles my mind as to why Red Hat includes this on a server image. In my opinion it should not be installed period, but since they insist on putting it in, it should at least be disabled by default. OK, enough of my rant...

Disable NetworkManager - chkconfig NetworkManager off

Stop NetworkManager - service NetworkManager stop

Change the NM_CONTROLLED=yes to no and save file

Restart networking - service network restart

1. I tried 5 different DNS servers

2. I am spending last 12 hours in Google. Let me see if Yahoo search throws some answer.

Any help from others?
