CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: CWP->CWP Migration
« on: January 04, 2021, 09:33:14 PM »Anyone who uses Magento deserves all of the problems they will soon be getting. Magento=the worst shopping cartCan't disagree. It's typical Adobe bloatware! "Designed" by Windoze developers, with no regards to disc space, RAM usage nor ease of use/development. It's missing essential items that often require some payment and supplied with junk that's tricky to remove. Uggh!
I've "inherited" two sites from a long-standing client that has asked me to host them - they had already chosen the e-commerce platform. I had to lease a "dedicated" VPS just for those two sites and they (the sites) swallow up more resources than any other server that I run. I've had sites with 10s of thousands of products taking far less resources, than these mid-sized stores.
I have a Ph.D in zencart.

There is no error, as such.
To rephrase:
It appears to be impossible to re-migrate an account, unless the receiving server has the target account deleted first.
[Background: I am doing some horrible Magento testing which uses up about 5GB disc space. Deleting and re-migrating takes a long time and it would be much easier, if it was possible just to re-migrate.]

« on: December 23, 2020, 04:09:14 PM »
Is it possible to create users to access server admin panel in addition to root user?
Would creating a superuser work?
How can I block root as an admin login username?

Forget Vultr. I tried them once and their system crashed and I lost everything 3 days after I signed up and got my server running. they offered no explanations or apologies. I think they did offer a $10 credit for the inconvenience they caused.

Yea, Rocky Linux just announced their start when RedHat announced CentOS. So did CloudLinux, which has a leg up, since they already have a modified version of RedHat.
cloudlinux is not an easy install. There are lots of steps to get it up and running. Linode, DO, Vultr etc etc do not offer cloudlinux as a standard VPS o/s.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: [MAJOR BUG] Disc Quota Reported Wrong
« on: December 07, 2020, 01:51:17 PM »
Best thing to do is set up a new server and try to reproduce. No one is going to test on a live server. That would be asking for big trouble. Thats pixelpadres two cents.

« on: December 04, 2020, 11:19:57 AM »
OK. I figured it out. Changing the 2 php.ini files did nothing.
But in admin panel, you can change date BUT YOU HAVE TO SELECT TIME ZONE ALSO EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE THE PROPER ZONE SETTINGS IN PHP.INI FILES.

These files are immutable meaning you cant edit. There is a work around that you can investigate with your favorite search engine.
