this isn't recommended since CWP has weekly updates and you would have outdated version and possible update issues.
You should install it only via installer on the clean centos server minimal version.

have you checked you /etc/resolv.conf configuration ?
Your nameserver resolvers for server are listed there.

mostly we are using google dns
nameserver 8.8.8.8
