DNS / Re: cPanel DNSOnly
« on: October 03, 2019, 12:36:23 AM »
Yes, this would be a great help for those moving away from cPanel/WHM and towards CWP.
Currently I have numerous servers setup with WHM/cPanel and they all use another instance of cPanel_DNSonly as a slave DNS server. As things currently stand, when I migrate across to CWP that relationship is summarily broken. Is there any way to configure CWP so that it can interface with cPanel_DNSonly and keep that master/slave relationship?
Thanks.

+1 this feature request.
It'll help concentrate the already limited developer resources and move CWP forward at a faster rate. This feature is imperative if CWP does not wish to be left behind in the scramble for those fleeing cPanel.

E-Mail / Re: Mail server different as Hostname
« on: October 02, 2019, 11:54:37 PM »
Considering that cPanel has had a significant price increase in their licensing model, there is the mood in the hosting industry for another 'player' to step forward and claim some of what was previously cPanel's market share.
But for that shift to occur in CWP's direction, CWP is going to have to implement some 'industry standard' feature sets like... allowing virtual hosts to send mail over SSL, via their respective domains (mail.theirdomain.com) and not as it currently stands of solely via the server's FQDN (hostname.myserver.com).
The ramifications of not doing the above are well documented:
If there is indeed a way around this (as glorency suggests), then I am not aware of it but would dearly love to find out.

- it means ALL clients will have to update their mail server settings when they are moved from cPanel to CWP
- it looks unprofessional and raises questions client side

SSL / Re: Want to install Wildcard SSL in CWP
« on: October 02, 2019, 10:32:34 PM »
Any update on the implementation of this feature?
Having access to a 'Lets Encrypt wildcard SSL' would make a heap of difference w.r.t. virtual hosts mail servers.
