Suggestions / Re: OpenLiteSpeed WebServer for CWP
« on: November 13, 2020, 11:57:23 AM »
Openlitespeed is quite simple for administration from their own panel, but of course it would be nice to have it as option.
Most probably main problem is conf files structure difference, and there is no simple method to convert.
I use it on my test server - must say that speed difference is not too big if compared to latest 2.4 apache.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: alot of questions here without replys.. should i just go back to cpanel?
« on: November 07, 2020, 12:24:01 PM »
CWP is fine, though it do requires users to have at least some basic level of understanding of what they do and what they want.
I'm quite happy with it, so far solved all problems without need to contact support.

Migrated 60GB accounts without any problems. Hard to guess what's the problem as log is not descriptive.

Backup / Re: My server doesn't make backups anymore

Yes, it does work now, with so far one problem. If ftp destination is selected it enters default destination dir which of course doesn't exist and here is manual intervention required.
Yet to see if it can backup mysql db-s properly.

Default backup folder on cwp centos7 is /backup .
You should not delete "/backup/" folder, though. Maybe rm -f /backup/* .

On client side, force plain ftp protocol without encryption.
I had this problem before with customers from firewalled internet (mostly islamic countries).
In filezilla, this setting works:

Suggestions / Re: Sendmail Analyzer support
« on: April 21, 2020, 10:23:04 AM »
Maybe I wrongly formulated my suggestion.
I can already access it from apache, but it would be better if I could use it from CWP, somewhat like netdata plugin. Since CWP is missing mail statistics, sendmailanalyzer could be nice addition to overall CWP features.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: help server home.
« on: April 21, 2020, 09:15:46 AM »
Add account with your subdomain, this will create folder in /home/
Place your files to /home/account/public_html folder
Otherwise you should place files to /usr/local/apache/htdocs if to use hostname.

There is even worse problem, if you have two accounts with similar name, deleting one account also deletes mysql databases from other.
For example, 12345678.com and 12345678.net - if .net is deleted say goodbye to .com db-s.

Suggestions / Sendmail Analyzer support

Hi,
It would be nice if you could add conf file for cwpsrv nginx, for those who have sendmailanalyzer installed.
