Information / Re: CWP to CWP migration tool
« on: February 11, 2018, 03:03:54 PM »
As far as I can see there is no menu button yet.

I tried the tool and it transfers the data  after a bit hassle to set it up. Be aware that after the account
is migrated the index.html from /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/tpl/new_account_tpl
is put in users public_html directory.........

A pitty that in the test i made CWP 6 to CWP 7 the account did not work .
It was showing the default centos webpanel page... :( (and yes i removed the index.html)
and rebuild the vhost conf on the target CWP 7 server.

Mod_Security / Re: Apache Not Run Install Mod Security To Errow
« on: May 14, 2017, 11:48:05 AM »

I had the same problem with my CWP Pro version. Apache refused to restart with the same error as mentioned here.

Fortunately I remembered reading the solution of Tristar posted earlier here on the forum.

I only removed the duplicate lines . And then apache started normally (Did not rebuild anything)

See http://forum.centos-webpanel.com/centos-6-problems/yum-update-after-get-mod-security-issue-cant-start-apache/msg11798/?topicseen#msg11798

Maybe a moderator can pin it. As I see more postings with the same error on the forum.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: Default HTTP Test Page won't change

I think you are editing the wrong file. A.f.a.i.k you should edit
the index.html located at /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/tpl/new_account_tpl

How to / Re: Integrate WHMCS Problem
« on: January 21, 2017, 07:20:27 PM »

I do not think you have to enable allow_url_fopen on the CWP server side.

Maybe you can try to make the api call through a text browser like   lynx or make a curl call from the server on which you whmcs installed to the CWP server and see what happens in the output from cli.
Can also be a firewall issue etc. Maybe the whmcs server is blocking outgoing connections to port 2030?

Hello Igor,

Check if you have enabled  allow_url_fopen directive. If it is disabled
and url can not be fetched through php.

I also noticed this behaviour and I thought initially it was caused by my specific setup.

So it is not probably... I noticed that after removing an user who has also a addon domain or subdomain
apache actually sometimes stops.  >:( . The cause is as far as I know the remains of subdomain / add on
domain in apache config..

I use a very simple setup all domains of users  on the server are a subdomain of the hostname. Maybe it
is because this setup but is annoying as hell because apache / the sites do not respond. Webserver is
down after removing.

MySQL / Re: How to update mysql from 5.1 to 5.6
« on: July 24, 2016, 08:07:38 PM »

Hello locvfx,

Thanks for your answer. I just do not want to break the CWP panel by using other repos.

Maybe a CWP developer can shed a light on this if it is wise to enable other repos.....

MySQL / Re: How to update mysql from 5.1 to 5.6

In the above link / article the remo repo will be enabled..

3) Now upgrade MySQL Server.

yum --enablerepo=remi update mysql-server
sudo mysql_upgrade

Question there is no need to disable the remi repo afterwards as it is done later for the atomic repo for upgrading to mysql 5.6 / 5.7? ? It will not break future updates of CWP ?

CentOS 6 Problems / Re: Help me: Misstake when upgrade php myadmin
« on: June 21, 2016, 10:10:34 AM »

Hello Loi,

Which mysql version are you using? As far as I know utf8mb4 is only possible with mysql version 5.5.3 and higher

11

So basically I like to know how to disable the prefix which is automagically added when a user adds a mysql database / database user from
a user login at C.W.P. If it is not possible then it is also ok then I need to adjust my signup form . Just let me know.

12

Hello Sandeep,

I know as root I can create without the prefix. The point is that users canīt and sometimes they have
a long username and those with a long username can create a mysql database but _not_ a mysql user
due to this prefixing.

I like to be able to disable the username prefix while creating an mysql database / mysql database user.

In Cpanel it is possible https://confluence2.cpanel.net/display/1142Docs/Disable+Database+Prefix
would be great if that it is possible in CWP too.

I have the same problem but only with long usernames. The username has 16 characters . If i try the same with shorter usernames
10 characters for example it works as expected...
