Nginx / running nginx w/o apache
« on: September 20, 2017, 11:49:24 PM »
I notice that Apache is a huge memory hog.

Is there a way to run Nginx using PHP-FPM without apache so I can save on memory?

I upgraded to CWP Pro and installed the Comodo rules, but it's still saying I need to install mod_security through the warning.

Any idea how to fix this?

PHP / configured 7.1 the way I like it, how do I set as default?
« on: September 08, 2017, 10:19:28 PM »
I configured php 7.1 to be exactly as I want, but I'm unclear how to set it as the default so that it doesn't change any of the config options or parameters.

How would I do that?

SSL / auto generate ssl for dashboard hostname
« on: September 08, 2017, 05:44:13 PM »

Since the hostname isn't part of any account, it's not showing up as available to auto-generate an SSL cert, and one was not automatically generated when installing CWP.

How can I successfully generate a letsencrypt SSL cert for the CWP hostname?

Thank you

I'm getting the following errors each time I try to "stop" the mysql service.

Can someone help me figure out why this happens and resolve it?

Apache / creating new files causes 500 error
« on: August 12, 2017, 10:12:02 PM »
Every time I create a file through WinSCP, the new file returns a 500 error. Only after running "Fix permissions" for that user, does it get fixed.

How can I make sure that I don't have to run "fix permissions" every time I create a new file?

PHP / built custom version using PHP Selector, how do I set as default?
« on: August 12, 2017, 10:10:56 PM »
I finished building a custom version of PHP 7.1.7 through the PHP Selector tool, and it works great.

However, I can't figure out how to set it as the default for all users to use, instead of using the htaccess code to force it for a single site.

Please advise how I can change the default to the newly built version I made through the PHP Selector tool.

i'm running latest version of CWP

« on: August 11, 2017, 03:44:46 AM »

I'd love to use pgAdmin4 instead of phppgadmin

Can anyone suggest how to install that so I can connect that to postgresql 9.6.x?

PostgreSQL / upgrading to postgresql 9.6.x
« on: August 11, 2017, 03:43:59 AM »
I've been working on this for a few days now, and can't figure out how to natively upgrade to 9.6.x, it's stuck on 9.2.x

Any help would be great!
