SSL / Hostname ssl refusing to update
« on: July 13, 2024, 10:18:30 PM »
I am seeking assistance with a challenging situation regarding my hostname SSL certificate. Recently, I discovered that my certificate had expired without receiving any prior notifications. My main concern is updating the certificate for the admin panel hostname.
Despite my efforts to resolve this issue, including attempting to force the renewal of the hostname certificate in the relevant section, the system continues to use the old, expired certificate. I lack the confidence to manually remove the certificate via the command line. While I am aware this can be done using SFTP, I am concerned about the risk of breaking the server, which is currently in production and also hosts my email and web servers, which were complex to configure.
Can anyone recommend a quick fix for updating the hostname in the panel or forcing the issuance of a new certificate? Despite trying all the obvious steps, such as clearing cache, cookies, and checking proxies, the certificate trackers still show the expired certificate. Any insights on what I might be overlooking would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, when re-issuing and enforcing a new hostname SSL, the panel indicates success, but SSL trackers still show a self-signed certificate. I have attempted to force a new SSL for the hostname, but my lack of confidence with command line and file editing, especially with files that aren’t straightforward to replace, remains a barrier. I have even rebuilt the web servers in an attempt to fix this, but to no avail.
I currently host the server on VULTR.com, and clearing the cache is not an available option through their control panel for the VPS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Information / Re: security updates and 2fa
« on: July 12, 2024, 09:38:36 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knew of any updates for the ability to use 2FA for the main admin login panel. I have seen a couple of old posts suggesting using free DNS and putting the host name into configuration files, which I am not comfortable with. Does anyone know if 2FA, such as Google Authenticator or text message authentication, and a module for shape performance can be installed independently? I really want to secure my system, but I do not want to use free DNS for dynamic IP addresses. My server is hosted with its own IP address in the data center. I simply want to lock it down completely using the Google Authenticator app or, as I mentioned before, one-time text SMS for authentication.

Installation / Endless login

I was sincerely hoping if someone could kindly provide me with some guidance or assistance regarding an issue I am currently facing. I am currently encountering some difficulties in identifying the root cause for this particular problem. It is entirely plausible that I may be either overlooking a simple solution or unnecessarily complicating matters. Despite going through the process of reinstalling the software, unfortunately, the issue still persists, and regrettably, I am unable to comprehend what might be going awry.
To ensure clarity, I am referring to the recent installation of CW7 pro, while also utilizing the billing platform known as Blesta. I have managed to successfully configure the API access key and achieved automation for all necessary processes. However, following the creation of a customer or user, depending on one's preferred terminology, an email is sent to the customer via the billing platform. This email is intended to provide them with the necessary logon details and relevant address information. During a test, after successfully logging in at the splash screen, the system redirects the user back to the login screen in a recurring cycle. I am currently unable to ascertain if there are any specific actions I need to undertake within CW7 pro in order to successfully complete the login process.
I kindly inquire if any individual has ever encountered a similar issue from the server side? Upon investigation, the account appears to be perfectly normal and operational so I genuinely do not know what may be causing this redirect. I have even attempted using several different browsers but unfortunately, the same issue persists. Would anyone please be able to offer any ideas or suggestions in this regard?

Installation / Basic knowledge of Protecting ports
« on: December 21, 2023, 02:25:17 PM »
Hello,
I would appreciate it if someone could assist me by guiding me in the right direction. I have been utilizing the CWP control panel for approximately six months and I am extremely satisfied with its user-friendly interface and management capabilities.
However, I am currently facing a challenge regarding obtaining SSL certificates to cover login ports, such as 2031 and others. I am having difficulty locating the option or the ability to secure these ports. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue? It seems that everything works fine until I try to log into something and realize that the connection is not secure. I apologize if this is simply a mistake on my part during the setup process.
Thank you for your assistance.
