Updates / Re: 502 error for websites hosted on CWP.
« on: October 09, 2019, 01:36:38 PM »
looks like you don't like to read warnings, as you had it more than 1 yr. on the top of each cwppro module.
Looks that you cannot, if you want people to use your software, pull the trigger from one day to another without previous warning.

"Hey guys, in two weeks we will do this, disable it or buy pro", was very difficult?

This attiude is very bad and i hope users take note about it

I think this is very simple, if you want to use services that are marked as pro then you need to have pro version.
By using pro you are making all us others dump for paying for it and you are slowing down development.
A pro feature it supposed to not work in free version from the beginning. If it's works, the users can think the pro tag it's a mistake, or it's something else.

If it works for months, you can't simply pull the trigger and put offline thousands of websites. You can of course, but the consecuences are here.

Maybe a better aproach it's to communicate the thing, and give a few weeks to the users to change their servers. I think that many people would have bought the PRO version without problem.

Now? Stay away, very far way, from this panel.

Same problem here. I have changed PID file in the config file but no luck at all.

I also tried "/usr/local/cwpsrv/var/run/nginx.pid" but same error...

PHP Selector / Re: CWP PHP Selector [CWPpro required]
« on: October 08, 2019, 06:28:22 AM »
I don't have a problem with CWP Premium, it's cheap, no problem about it. But i was testing the free version.

Yesterday, the website stop working, "503 down for maintenance", after a time rebuilding apache, checking apache, nginx, etc, i discovered that PHP-FPM was unable to start, because " /opt/alt/php-fpm72/usr/sbin/php-fpm" and the others versions executables, had a wrong chmod, unable to start. I fixed it and the website return to working. Today, same issue, strange. So i checked this forum.

Apparently, now the PHP-FPM selector it's only for paid versions (in the website still says PHP-FPM free), but they did the change without warning anyone, they simply update the panel and broke thousands of websites.

The problem for me it's not to pay 1.5$/month, it's that they do the change without warning anyone, with a dirty method, and breaking thousand of servers around the world. For me, there are not trustworthy anymore.

I have been using other free panels for many years, like ISPConfig, and never have a issue like this. It's a pity, because i think CWP have a great potential, but this movement it's a shame. No warning, the push the button without thinking.

Apache / Re: .htaccess: Option FollowSymlinks not allowed here
« on: July 17, 2019, 03:06:16 PM »
Yes, FollowSymLinks was disabled by default.
And what is the right way to revert it to enable again? I can edit the vhost but on each update is overwrited...

Thank you!
