Installation / Re: DNS setup I canīt Add A record for Parent Domain
« on: July 23, 2019, 04:04:12 AM »
This shows that you are using custom name servers ns1.codexdigital.co and ns2.codexdigital.co but you have not added the A records for these two NS.

So, first of all go to DNS file of codexdigital.co and click on edit records and then add two records with your server IP named as ns1 and ns2.

I could see that you were trying to add ns1.codexdigital.co while you should only add ns1. The same is for ns2

Question 1: Hi team does is mandatory change the hostname? i have the VPS in CONTABO and their VPS hostname its come by default an hostname like : VIM45454.contabo.net.

I recommend having your own hostname. Check this post for hostname setup along with greenpadlock
http://forum.centos-webpanel.com/how-to/(tutorial)-how-to-install-ssl-on-hostname/

Question 2: after install centos webpanel on 7.6 which is the next step?

The next step is to configure web servers. Best setup is "Nginx & Varnish & Apache". To configure web servers, Go to Webserver Settings>>>Select Web servers

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: Does "CWPpro Terminal" work for you?
« on: July 14, 2019, 11:03:51 AM »
It has never worked for me either...I just assumed one day it may work (ie it's a works in progress kinda thing) and have used the simple one instead.

What is the difference between the two?

This is the detail added by CWP Team about CWPro Terminal

Quote
Once you have initialized and revalidated the access with your root password, you will have access to your server via shell with all the functionality of any desktop terminal in Linux, Mac or Windows and without any type of limitations in the execution of certain commands (as it happens with the previous version of the terminal).

You can use commands like vi, nano, htop, iotop, nmtui without any graphic restriction.

In addition, you can copy and paste lines naturally. You will no longer have to transcribe your passwords, just a traditional copy and paste and go!.

The terminal is developed under strict layers of security to ensure reliability under the root environment.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: Does "CWPpro Terminal" work for you?

It did not work for me. Also, it was asking for root login despite of the fact that I was already logged in as a root.

Bug report was submitted to CWP team three days ago.

SSL / Re: Want to install Wildcard SSL in CWP
« on: July 10, 2019, 08:55:42 AM »
Lets Encrypt now offers wildcard SSL, can anyone tell you how to convert this to CWP so it works for all domains?

CWP currently does not support wildcard SSL for domains but they promised that it will be launched soon.

How to / Re: [Tutorial] How to install SSL on hostname?
« on: July 07, 2019, 08:39:32 AM »
For what it's worth, this worked.  However, I ran into the issue on Chrome that my site was not secure.  When I read this post  and saw "Green" padlock, I immediately thought about Firefox (which is usually where I only see the green padlock).  So, I pulled up Firefox and sure enough, it worked.  I then went back to Chrome, pulled up an incognito tab, and it worked there.  So, I killed the original tab, cleared cache, and it worked.  Moral of the story: Try other browsers.
Thanks to the OP for helping with my solution.

I am glad that it worked for you.

How to / Re: [Tutorial] How to install SSL on hostname?
« on: May 30, 2019, 04:02:53 PM »
I followed these instructions and without success, I went and obtained a Comodo SSL Certificate but cannot even add that to the server.

[root@hostsrv ~]# service cwpsrv reload
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl reload cwpsrv.service
[root@hostsrv ~]#

No errors

But when I go tot he site the browser keeps saying :
This site is not secure

And in Opera I can't even override it as I can with MS Explorer

Any suggestions?

Kindly confirm that you have an A record for the hostname?

Installation / Re: Root Account Suspended
« on: May 20, 2019, 03:58:44 PM »
ec2 comes with the default user ec2-user and not the root user.

So, you will have to do the following

  • Install the CWP panel
  • At the end restart the server
  • Login to server again
  • Enter sudo su (it will give you root access
  • Enter passwd (It is used to change the password)
  • Enter the new password
  • Then go to CWP login page and enter this password for root
