SSL on a range of ports
« on: June 22, 2018, 01:18:00 PM »
On my server, apart from website, I also run Centova Cast. Centova Cast is a solution that helps you manage your web radio station, it uses Icecast, Shoutcast, autoDJ's, etc. so it utilizes a range of ports in order to work.

My question is, is it possible to secure many ports with SSL?

I tried to do that, using some instructions from this forum, but eventually I ended up killing my Apache and needing to rebuild it, lol :P

Is it possible to secure a range of ports with SSL, for example, 8000-10000?

the short answer is Yes
I have centovaCast on 1 of my servers with 25 lic and every station is secured with a cert that covers all sub-domains.
check with your host and/or cert provider for an *.your domain what ever your dot it with
