It would be cool in the very near future to be able to integrate directly into the CWP control panel the possibility of having Jetbackup, this very advanced backup system and a lot of requests from the Jetbackup community to have it on CWP, could you get closer to their team to study a possible implementation? I put the relevant topic here https://request.jetapps.com/topic/add-support-for-cwp

Please,

we need Jetbackup in cwp please
-
The jetbackup team will have contacted the CWP developers. We hope for a quick update and this solution implemented for 2025. Please VWP collaborate with them for this backup plugin.
-
It is important to have JETBACKUP as a robust backup system, moreover it will also make great publicity for CWP.
-
A survey has been opened for rapid integration in a future update for Jetbackup

You can use any backup service that uses the CLI.
IDrive & Acronis can be installed, and then managed form their GUI interface, which is nice.
No need for CWP panel integration, which would be nice, but not necessary.
-
maybe a tutorial on this would be cool
-
IDrive & Acronis both have scripts to install there respective products, and are quite detailed and simple already.
-
I see but jetbackup goes far beyond its two scripts, it allows a multitude of functionality. and is really designed for control panels

I have just had the CWP developer Jose Manuel Nuñez confirm that he is currently in contact with the JETBACKUP developers for the integration of JETBACKUP in a future update of CWP.
So normally the collaboration and integration should take place, we hope that the developers present here can also confirm their information to us which is beneficial for the future, with JETBACKUP CWP will become for my part management level the best hosting administration panels
It is therefore only a matter of time until JETBACKUP is 100% integrated into CWP
-
CWP developer Jose Manuel Nuñez came to the jetbackup feature request to announce that he would be in communication with the JETBACKUP developers for future integration :) things seem to be moving quickly these last few days :)

You can stop advertising/pushing for jetbackup...
Most providers offer a backup solution, along with server snapshots.
By far, Acronis is the most used, and from the GUI control panel you can handle the backups of multiple servers in one place.
-
After speaking with the developer on Skype, he told me that the integration of Jetbackup would be underway, for implementation on CWP in the near future. To be continued!
-
I'd be glad to wait for an official announcement rather than the play-by-play...
-
Yes it is a shame that José Manuel does not come to make the announcement on this subject here, he told me yesterday on Skype that the depoiling of Jetbackup for CWP will be available in the first quarter of 2025

Almost at this point with your step-by-step advertising, I hope they don't include it.
Unless Jose will also support other backup programs like Acronis, iDrive, Bacula, etc. into CWP.
3rd party modules can be created, and added into CWP if you choose to take on the programming task.

I don't understand your dissatisfaction with Jetbackup, it's a very good tool, perhaps it will encourage you to subsequently offer other backup possibilities
But your comments are non-constructive, Jetbackup and a very good system which has proven itself on Cpanel, the support and extremely responsive.

Yea, you keep advertising for your product.
I would only recommend Real backup software that has a track record of working all the time like Acronis, iDrive, Bacula, and Borg.
Which is what you want in a backup system. Something that has a track record of working, and not failing when you need it the most.
All already have GUI interfaces to control them, and can be used cross platform, Linux, Windows, Mac.
The top 2 are Acronis and iDrive. Look at a majority of providers, and that's what is used & offered.

No one is forcing you to use the jetbackup solution when it is integrated in the first trimester, no one is forcing you, you can continue your journey with any backup method you want, but do not prevent others from using it. You are free to use the means you wish for your backups.

Just as you can stop spamming the forums with an ad for your software.
Everyone can see your posts are just ads at this point.
If CWP goes down this road, they would have to support your software besides theirs, and I doubt that will ever happen.
Under EU laws, if they add your software, they have to add others, and then support them all.
Also if you integrate a security flaw into CWP because of a bug in yours, you become liable.
Why do you think control panels have 3rd party backup software built-in. But only available via 3rd party add-on modules.
