Title: Increasing the disk space
Post by: anandmys on October 26, 2026, 08:16:05 AM
I am running AL 8.10 with cwp 1.27

I am using an VPS with 200GB Disk Space

What is the process to increase the disk allocation if I upgrade my storage?

Currently my /dev/sda2   / is 85% used

I could complete this with following steps.

Code: [Select]
lsblk
Code: [Select]
echo 1 > /sys/class/block/sda/device/rescan

Code: [Select]
yum install cloud-utils-growpart -y
Code: [Select]
growpart /dev/sda 2
Code: [Select]
lsblk to verify

Check filesystem type

Code: [Select]
df -Th /
As mine was ext4

Code: [Select]
resize2fs /dev/sda2
Code: [Select]
df -Th /
verify that changes are done
