Having had a perfectly Stable and working server and Roundcube, for quite some time,... sometime around the 20th or 22nd of June, It became impossible to actually view, New OR Older emails via Roundcube.

The GUI interface loads and runs fine for All accounts but am 'presented' with;

The above error warning appears when trying to view any Folders or defined storage areas withing the Roundcube GUI.

Perhaps strangely, emails CAN still be sent and the interface works fine.

I went back through the Update logs prior to and around the time it stopped working and can't really see anything that 'changed' and may be stopping it from working properly.

Anyone have ANY ideas or suggestions ??

Roundcube: 1.5.8
php: 8.2.28
Alma: 8.10 (Cerulean Leopard)
kernel: 4.18.0-553.147.1.el8_10.x86_64

Try accessing it, where it results in another error, and immediately check your server logs with the command:

# tail -30 /usr/local/cwpsrv/logs/access_log

See if there's anything unusual, and post it here.

(But protect your privacy, and avoid posting anything specific to you, such as your address or domain.)

Something fishy is going on. After the 27 July update, my cwpsrv wouldn't restart, only after editing the nginx.conf (something with missing ssl after a port), and now I have customers complaining that they don't receive mail anymore.

Now i noticed, that /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf is altered on jul 27.

So that's probably where the fault lies.

But why hasn't this original file been renamed so I can diff them and spot the issues?

This is worthless!

So found an issue in the roundcube error log: Uncaught Error: Class 'Spoofchecker' not found

This is an indication that the intl library isn't loaded... Looking at the /usr/local/cwpsrv/conf.d/webmail.conf, a php 7.1 (??? wtf) version is used...

And yes, for that php version, no intl library is installed.

Is this going well? Why are those archaic php versions used?

Is there anybody who can give a hint how to solve this?

At the moment I'm struggling with chatgpt.com

This guide for RoundCube updating (still valid method, just update the version number to 1.5.15 LTS) mentions installing intl as a prerequisite and has a fix script:

Are you on EL7, EL8, or EL9 for your base OS?
