Title: Almalinux
Post by: amitksaha on December 08, 2021, 06:56:13 AM
Hi Guys
Since we all know that CentOs 8 is coming to End of life by 31st Dec.
ad we do not really wish to continue with CentOs 7 so is it advisable to go with Almalinux. Is Alma fully compatible with CWP? If yes, what version?

Regards
Amit

I with Almalinux I would not try it but rather with CENTOS 8 and then according to the specifications of SANDEEP https://www.mysterydata.com/convert-centos-8-to-centos-8-stream-install-cwp-control- panel-in-centos-8-stream (https://www.mysterydata.com/convert-centos-8-to-centos-8-stream-install-cwp-control- panel-in-centos-8-stream)

Alma and Rocky-Linux cause too much trouble in some things and are extremely slow!

It also depends on whether you use a VPS, VDS or dedicated server. If you use a dedicated one, you can intervene in the kernel and customize the installation. With a VPS or VDS, this option is denied and you should then use CENTOS 8.
