I am using pro version of CWP in centos 8 on digital ocean droplet. I installed CWP using command
sh cwp-el8-latest -p 8.1 -s yes
, thinking that it will install CWP with phpfpm 8.1 latest version.
But it did not do so. On dash board, I see as PHP version: 5.6.37.
Secondly, In the PHP FPM selector, against PHP-FPM 8.1, I see "Not INstalled".
I tried to rebuild PHP FPM selecting 8.1.15, and it fails again as shown in log

It seems there is some bug in CWP and is not able to install properly on centos 8.
-
PHP-FPM 7.4 (exact version 7.4.33) got installed. But it seems CWP does have some issue with PHP version 8 onwards. Even the normal PHP 8 onwards is not getting build. I have installed CWP pro 4-5 times on a fresh Digital ocean droplet on centos 8 and tried to install and activate PHP-FPM 8.1 latest version same number of times but have not been successful.
Note that, this problem is faced by me in free version of CWP also and that is why I opted for pro version. The PHP Version Switcher in free version does not work. It is not able to compile version 8 properly and not able to switch the php version 8.1.x
I think the CWP tech support team must look into this issue.
-
Probably something in CentOS 8; I'm running 3 x CentOS 7.9.2009 servers, CWP Pro with PHP 8.1 compiled just fine.
-
Is anyone else facing this issue. I am using Pro version.
Somehow, I suppose this is a bug as this sort of problem I faced long time back also. It would be nice if CWP support start considering this as bug rather than a paid support requirement. Taking these kind of issues as bug will only help in making the product better and more stable.

I can't install any version of php (fpm or not) after 7.2. I can only compile up to 7.2 after that the following error is occurring:

I managed to solve here by updating the repository packages.
"yum update"
-
I'm on centos 8 also having this problem when building php80, php74:ok php81:ok php82:ok
ERROR: Missing extension file /sodium.so

Uncheck ImageMagicK, other than that leave everything else as default and try to build again.
ionCube support PHP 8.1, so you can enable that.
ionCube does NOT support PHP 8.0, so if you try to enable it, you will get errors.
