re ran the Daily cron
./etc/cron.daily/cwp
fixed it
aparently it couldnt see the CWP server for updates.. but it can ping it now..
-
But I lost a few features and had to recompile apache and ngnix and it fails all my SSL certs now.. still cant use Varnish or ngnix. but SSL works with vanilla apache.

I just had the same issue whereby my network was down and couldn't contact the cwp server. The two things that happened were:
It started to show that I wasn't using CWPpro and;
It broke my nginx config, making all my nginx sites inaccessible.
Surely this is a serious bug - access to my websites shouldn't be broken just because cron didn't run properly !
Not to mention the 2 hours it took for me to troubleshoot (until I found this thread !)
Not good enough.
