Title: ROOT user in CWP7
Post by: babakprs on June 26, 2020, 04:22:51 PM
Hello,
I have some questions below:

By default on the port 2087, the user is Root, even though Root user has been deactivated in ssh before. Then:
1. Is it possible to change Root username in CWP? (I don't mean another users that are accessible via port 2083, I just mean the main user of the port 2087)
2. If not, is it possible to disable it?
3. Is it possible to change the login url for the ports 2087 and 2083?
4. If none of these are possible, aren't these be considered as security vulnerables?

Thanks :)

you can do it manually change the ports in config files here in  :
/usr/local/cwpsrv

root username can't be changed, you can use csf firewall for the ip bases access

Thanks for your reply.
However, I'm a noob and don't know what files I need to edit under /usr/local/cwpsrv for changing the ports :(

I noticed I can assign my IP in /usr/local/cwp/.conf/.access_root to secure CWP login page with my IP and it works for the port 2087.
But still the account login pages under port 2082 and 2083 are available. how can I secure account login page under my IP?
