SSL / SSL Certificate

I'm having a hard time installing a ssl certificate, Im new to all of this, ok so far i have done the following


Bought VPS
Installed CWP
Point my domain to my VPS
installed my site

how I've been doing some research however i can not work out for the life of my how to install a ssl certificate, i have purchased one and i was using it when i was using cPanel

i asume i need to regenerate a signing request?
