CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Changing hostname
« on: February 03, 2020, 08:50:44 PM »
For now it works weird, wiki documentation also does not match current version.

CWP also does not change hostname in CentOS itself (at least for me it is such), I mean https://support.rackspace.com/how-to/centos-hostname-change/.

Hence for outgoing email in headers you have old hostname used by amavisd-new in X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new and below.

Information / Re: Current work to improve CWP.

With present price of CWP Pro it is no way they''ll be able to answer tickets.

But idea can be to make paid for tickets, where sum is paid only for real solution of the issue or for fix.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: Lots of php warnings

Change warnings settings in PHP settings (PHP 7.1 obviously).

Or make cron and just delete this log periodically.

SSL / Re: Webmail.domain.com and domain.com/webmail
« on: February 01, 2020, 11:13:47 PM »
It is ok.

As SSL certificate is provided only for www subdomain and subdomains you added manually.

This is how AutoSSL works in CWP for now.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / More issues with Cron GUI
« on: January 30, 2020, 12:46:51 AM »
Suppose you added Cron jobs via CWP GUI.

After this you edited cron files directly.

Now, if you go back to GUI, you won't see actual cron jobs, but previously saved GUI ones only.

Proper way is to always read actual files for changes.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: How to fix Encryption error on login
« on: January 30, 2020, 12:45:13 AM »
Make it proper.

Setup dom.mydomain.com as hostname (of course must be A record in DNS also).

CWP will autogenerate SSL certificates using LetsEncrypt.

CSF Firewall / Re: Relay Tracking on CSF in CWP

This is very interesting observation.

On CPanel systems we have such. May be it is related to fact that they use exim.

Hope authors can clear things out on this.

They can start from

"Nothing major seems to be broken in this release"

:-)

Of course, it is rare for CWP for now, but sounds optimistic.

As I told, cronjob works. Via SSH also.

It is just specific thing that does not.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Run Cron job now issue
« on: January 22, 2020, 09:47:00 PM »
I had been adding new cron job (using non root, separate specific user CWP panel).

Cron job had wget with specific parameters, and I can check that it is working ok (on other side I have counter).

But if I try to use "Run Cron job now" button, it show fancy popup and such but cron job is not being executed properly.

I can only assume - never. Or at least not soon.

On changelog page they wrote that updatesa re too frequent so they can't write them even.

Btw, developers without managers, testers and documentation process are extremely powerful and dangerous force :-)

Thanks, forced update worked.

But it is really important to follow their own words, get 2 weeks to test stuff. Why rush?

I have such form of update set. As I see it is NOT such.

I see update to FULLY UNTESTED version with most features broken.

Developers - web control panel is not childs play!
