Addons / whmcs vs WISECP
« on: September 05, 2021, 02:25:41 AM »
Hi,

I am going to install a billing system, I saw CWP has a WHMCS button but in the documentation is mentioned WISECP which has a lot more features, specially regarding security.

Have you use both of them with CWP?

As I said WISECP looks good, except that it makes you paid a lot of money and they do not remove the "Powered by" label, but I appreciate to know the advise from someone with empiric experience.

Thank you

Installation / Re: How to configure cgroups in the domain packages?
« on: August 17, 2021, 05:48:44 PM »
Hi, try to check the doc https://docs.control-webpanel.com/docs/admin-guide/security/cgroups-resources-limits

As I said, the information in your link explain how to make "profiles" but int when you create a domain package, you need a single number. What of those numbers should be used? the memory, the profile, etc.

I would not recommend using limits which you do not understand ;)

I agree but it is needed to create domain packages and it can not be modified after the domain is set up, so I have to understand it and I may appreciate your help to do so.

Hi,

Please let me know how to set unlimited in the domain packages for:
Sub Domains
Addon Domains
Bandwidth MB
Email Accounts
Mysql
Parked Domains

I know with some limits zero (0) means "unlimited" (inodes), but I did not find how to set the same in the domain packages.

Thank you

Installation / How to configure apache_nproc in domain packages?
« on: August 08, 2021, 01:56:30 PM »
Hi,

Please let me know how to calculate the apache_nproc for the domain packages.

I know nproc can be defined in packages and modified in every domain as required, but I did not find the same for the apache_nproc.

I want to know how does apache_nproc must be defined in the packages and how can it be modified if it is required.

Thank you

Installation / How to configure cgroups in the domain packages?

Hi,

Please let me know what to enter in the cgroups field of domain packages?

I know cgroups are managed by CWP as profiles but I do not understand the purpose in the package templates.

Installation / PHP version installed by default
« on: August 08, 2021, 01:47:39 PM »
Hi,

I installed CWP without additional commands and I found it used PHP 5.6 and I want to know:

1. Is there technical reason to use PHP 5.6 in the control panel? May be it is more stable or has better compatibility with applications as Round Cube.

2. Is it possible to change the PHP version for the hole control panel? I know there is a PHP manager for domains but my question is regarding the CWP core.

Thank you

Installation / Re: How can I configure IPs?
« on: August 03, 2021, 10:24:56 PM »
Thank you Igor, there are a few things I have to understand:

two nameservers on one server do not make sense and you should not configure it.
How shall I set the secondary nameserver? I guess you define a DNS template to be used when you create a domain. If it is not in the same server: Where and how must it be deployed? The secondary nameserver in cPanel is not a backup (even when it works well) but mostly the configuration required to solve what the ns records demands. Mine is the typical cPanel (Plesk) configuration, I just want to understand how CWP does such a trivial thing.

If your IP's already added you can choose one of them when an account creating. This IP will be used for all websites on the account.
Does this mean if I choose and IP in use, such will be shared automatically? How do you know when an Ip is used by a domain to avoid share it when do not want to (as when you need SSL)?

Installation / How can I configure IPs?
« on: August 03, 2021, 02:01:32 PM »
Hi,

Again I am unlucky and I did not find in the documentation the way for this simply task.

I have a VPS with two public IPs, IP1 and IP2 and my questions are:
1. How can I use IP1 for the control panel (with an SSL certificate if possible).
2. What shall I do to configure IP1 as primary and  IP2 as secondary name servers?
3. What must be done to configure the IP1 as shared for domains without SSL certificate?
4. How I configure IP2 as private (as well as new ones) for domains with SSL certificates?

I already have this configuration with cPanel, now I appreciate your help to replicate this with CWP.

Thank you

Hi,

I am new in CWP and I want to know the basics before buying a Pro version and maintenance.

After reading the documentation and trying the demos I have some questions that I could not solve, I would truly appreciate your help for solving them, as well as the links of the related information.

My first question is:  How can I know if Cent OS 7 has the minimal installation required by CWP?
I am using the images provided by Cloud computing providers, I do not know well what is included or not within them that would cause problems with CWP. Other control panels tells what programs you must uninstall, usually apache, so please let me know what must be done with CWP.

Thank you
