CentOS 7 Problems / IP Address Issue
« on: December 18, 2019, 09:48:40 PM »
Hi
I have just set up a new installation of CWP7Pro on the ip address 80.229.160.127 - have a domain name set up on it system87.com and installed wordpress. for some reason when i go to www.system87.com/wp-admin it redirects to local IP Address " http://192.168.1.28/~system/wp-admin/ "
so if i view wordpress on my local network it works fine but externally it doesnt because most of the images / code are pointing to the local IP.
Any idea what i have done wrong on the set up?
Thanks very much for reading this and any help would be brilliant.

DNS / Possible DNS problem with my setup
« on: February 15, 2017, 12:10:24 AM »
Hi Everyone
I have just started using CENT OS Web panel in a test environment, from what I have used it seems like a very good hosting panel.
I am using it on a test home server but i am having problems with my main domain and it connecting to it.
Currently I have it set up a test domain which is host43.co.uk but if you visit that it comes up with routers log on page but if you add host43.co.uk:2030 it comes up with the log in screen for web panel.
I have created an account on the web panel for host43.co.uk with a basic package – What do I need to do to make it so if someone visits host43.co.uk it goes to the account I created and not my routers log in page? Am i rigjht in thinking i need to forward some ports on my draytek router to the server. So far the only port i have forwarded is 2030 to go to that ip to allow the web panel log in screen to come on.
Sorry if this is a newbie question, trying my best to learn linux with centos and also get my head around web hosting platforms like centos web panel.
Thank You

CentOS 6 Problems / Httpd wont start
« on: June 19, 2015, 11:08:16 AM »
Hi
when i try and start httpd i get the following message
[root@host43 ~]# service httpd start
Starting httpd: Warning: DocumentRoot [/home/zin/public_html] does not exist
httpd: bad user name zin
[FAILED]
i used to have a user called zin but deleted the user from the centos panel and now when i restarted httpd i get the above error. Is there anyway to make it so httpd doesnt look for that user? Or manaual delete the user so it never looks for it?
thanks
