Information / It seems that cwp billing is working again.
« on: June 24, 2024, 06:42:23 AM »
I just realized that the system has generated an invoice for me from more than a year ago. What happened? It stopped working?
On top of that, they leave me with almost 30 machines without service and, as always, billing without urgent responses.
Either they improve billing support or cwp will never improve...
It's been about 4 hours or more with more than 30 machines down and it seems like they don't care much... what a shame about the panel.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Error with the backup system since version 0.9.8.1041. Adjust to correct it.
« on: February 10, 2021, 12:42:24 AM »
As always, forgive the translation, I am Spanish and I use a translator.
Since version 0.9.8.1041, if you are using the new CWP backup system, you may be experiencing a problem and that is that the copies are staying in the local: / root folder and are not being uploaded to the remote server.
This problem happens if you use the options (SSH and compressed) with the incremental ones, it doesn't happen.
To solve this problem, you simply have to go to the backup system, edit the current backup that you have configured and you will see that there is a new field:
By default it is empty, so simply put this value:
/home/tmp_bak/
With this they no longer stay in the / root folder and are uploaded correctly to the remote server.
I hope it helps you.
Regards!

CSF Firewall / Resellers should be able to unlock IPS
« on: June 01, 2020, 12:26:13 PM »
Hello!
A major upgrade request.
We believe that "reseller" users should have an option from their own panel to unblock IPS from the firewall.
This would prevent us from getting support tickets to unblock IPS as they would be able to do it themselves.

CentOS 7 Problems / Serious backup system failure
« on: June 01, 2020, 09:25:32 AM »
We opened a ticket to CWP today.
We discovered a major flaw in the new backup system.
We have configured the backup with incremental copy, we suppose that it should only copy the files that change, but CWP makes a complete copy each time. This means that only one server with 50 accounts is taking up almost 2 TB of backups.
Doesn't anyone else have this problem with the new backup system?

CentOS 7 Problems / Error with DNS and Clusters.
« on: April 25, 2020, 04:06:56 PM »
Hello!
A few days ago I discovered an error and opened a support ticket, since I don't get the right answer, I indicate it here in case someone knows how to fix it.
We continue to advance the module to give IPv6 support to CWP domains. We already have everything working, but recently ("We don't know if it was a CWP update") the changes made in the DNS files of the domains are not synchronized with the DNS cluster servers.
If we make any manual change from the "zone_editor" module, it will be correctly updated to the DNS clusters.
If we make the changes directly on the domain DNS file the changes in the DNS clusters are not synchronized. When I talk about the file, I mean any in this path: /var/named/domain.com.db
Does anybody know how we can get that when we make the changes directly on the file, the update to the DNS clusters is forced?
Our module uses the following function to edit the DNS file:
Let's see if someone helps us.
Greetings!

I'm so glad to see they're moving the change log.
https://control-webpanel.com/changelog
I hope that from now on you will report changes in the new versions here. This is very useful and it costs very little to report changes.
If the CWP team continues to listen to what we users report, they will be well on their way.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Error when accessing phpmyadmin from the user side
« on: April 09, 2020, 03:50:57 PM »
I have noticed that in several CWP servers (I think all of them), when I click on "Phpmyadmin" it shows me this error:
Is it happening to someone else or is it a bug in my servers?
Greetings!

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Violation of the personal data protection law with CWP.
« on: April 06, 2020, 11:13:24 AM »
I have noticed, that by using CWP, the law of personal data protection is violated.
I have already reported it to the CWP team, but it seems that it is not urgent, as I was told.
When you create a domain, the SOA record is created with the client's email, which is showing private information and can lead to fines for this.
The CWP team told me that this is because I didn't have an email registered at CWP, which is not correct, it was there from the first moment and creating new packages doesn't solve it either.
It is necessary that you modify the template with which the DNS records are created and that the SOA record is used the one we have indicated in CWP and not the client one.
This is very important for us, since the agency of protection of personal data can give us a fine. While they are fixing this, we are going to cancel all the administration services that we have contracted with CWP, since it is not fair that it has not been corrected yet.

Suggestions / System to monitor the sending of emails.
« on: April 01, 2020, 11:12:52 AM »
Hello!
We have seen that in CWP there is a need to have a control of the emails sent by the clients, something similar to what CPanel does.
Image:
Would it be possible to add this?

Information / Waiting 120 seconds to report a message
« on: March 24, 2020, 09:32:31 AM »
Waiting 120 seconds to report a message on the forum is not useful at all.
You may have to lower it to 30 seconds, so there is no way to report several messages at once, as is the case today.

Updates / Can we confirm that the emails already work with ssl and your own domain name?
« on: March 15, 2020, 08:36:52 PM »
Some time ago I requested this improvement as a matter of urgency for those of us who migrated clients from CPanel.
Today we have realized that we can already configure ssl in outlook, thunderbird, etc.. with the domain name itself, of the type: mail.mydomain.com
Has this already been done with the latest updates or is it just a coincidence that it works for me?
