It is showing the new ip now inside of the vhosts.

I can ssh to that IP into the exact same server.

Only shows http test page.

/Edit/ DNS on the server was not updated with the new ip.

waiting on dns now. then will see

CWP Pro server has many different IP's on it with 1 shared IP and 2 nameserver IP's.

Going to "Account Edit" and selecting a different unused IP Address (not the shared or nameserver IP's) for that account.

Selecting "Update DNS zone files" and "Update WebServers".. then click on "Update".

"List Accounts" now shows the new IP address.

Webserver vhost file and DNS file does NOT show the new IP address ...

Please Advise.

Also, For anyone to know, I removed all accounts from the server before importing the package list into the database. I also had to dump the current package list. It was a newly installed server also. I would not do this on a server with existing accounts.

Do not forget backup CWP database before any changes. Some changes can crash some of the panel feature.

Found it in the Database

root_cwp -> packages

Was able to export the packages from the database from one panel and import into the other.

Leaving this thread here in case others need this information also.

Thanks!!

Information / Change Package ID
« on: December 14, 2020, 06:02:18 PM »
Trying to migrate from one CWP server to another, It skipped a few packages and changed the ID's of course.

I deleted them and made news ones and they start at the last ID #

How and Where do I change the ID of packages so I can correct the ID numbers?

well don't worry we'll support centos 8 stream

Awesome to hear that, I wonder how stable Centos Stream will wind up being.

CWP works on CentOS Stream 8 OK.

CentOS 7 isn't fully EOL until 2024.

CloudLinux is talking about releasing a free version also based on RHEL.

Go figure all this happened 2 weeks after we migrated over to CentOS 8.
Which just had a major dot release from 8.2.2004 to 8.3.2003.

This isn't the first time RedHat has done this.
RedHat use to be a free version of Linux, then I think back in 2002 they went paid, and release Fedora as the free version.
Or you could use Mandrake, which went to some other name due to some stupid lawsuit.

Only constant with Free Linux distros has been FreeBSD. All others have come and gone.

I had just switched everything over to CentOS 8 also.

As for the constant Free, I've been using Debian on my personal stuff since the late 90's...

And I do remember when Redhat was free.

https://rockylinux.org/ is hopefully coming out sooner than later, From the founder of CentOS.

Information / Now that CentOS is on a dead end path...

I apologize if this has been said somewhere, I looked over the CWP website and the forums and I may have missed it,

Redhat has announced the discontinuation of CentOS pretty much,

https://w3techs.com/technologies/details/os-linux

https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/centos-stream-building-innovative-future-enterprise-linux

https://www.change.org/p/centos-governing-board-do-not-destroy-centos-by-using-it-as-a-rhel-upstream

Is there a direction that CWP has decided upon at this time?

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

CWP API / Key not set or invalid!
« on: January 20, 2020, 03:14:28 AM »
How do I properly enter in the API KEY to allow blesta to create accounts?

I have put in the CWP api and the blesta api straight into this file;
/usr/local/cwp/.conf/.api_keys

I also had to create the following file and put in the IP for my blesta install in
/usr/local/cwp/.conf/api_allowed.conf

as I was getting the api error also.
