Suggestions / Servers FQDN Domain
« on: November 14, 2022, 01:50:59 PM »
One of the best panels out there, using CWP7Pro, i think for a bit improve is the servers domain, as i was thinking, the first domain entered is used by the server and i have to create a fictive user for the domain, since is going trough Users option, why not put an option in the Server Setings for a domain and assigne it to root, so every time root logd in it would be listed in Domains.

Suggestions / Re: User Acc

Thanks for the prompt reply

I did not say anything about acc limitations, that is managed in Packages and that section or option is ok, yes there are always improvements but , for now, that is ok and it works as it should, my proposal is to the new Acc Creation option, i strongly think that mandatory field for Domain should be omitted, but not the package (option that controls the limitations - that's ok). Assigning an reseller acc to an employee would be extra "naming" to distinguish them from real resellers, later as acc`s grow even difficult, which are different tasks and functions, adding a extra checkbox for Admin or Moderator or whatever should prove very useful, rights could be managed as an extra options Admin acc, or something else... As for the "disappearing" main server domain, that should be added as an option to the server management options, not just auto assign any first domain to the server, that should be as option but "semi - mandatory" or even mandatory but controllable, accessible and visible option, nobody wants to flush an paid fqdn domain to something like that ..

Suggestions / User Acc

First of all , all the best to the team, proud owner of Pro, and the first suggestion would be up the price , double, ($20 - ish) for Pro, excellent panel, one of the best, at stage at what it is now, second suggestion would be:

- This is more of an surprise and / or wonder. The first domain that gets added with the account and its mandatory, just disappears, nowhere to be found, with List Domains > nothing.
Now mandatory Domain field to account , i think should be removed, why >its frustrating  ;) let say i want to add an moderator / admin to the server (not reseller), i have to imagine a "fictional" domain just for administration ( and hell i will give someone my root access ) ... so remove domain, add just users, as for the packages dropdown, that can be managed with an "unlimited" package or added another checkbox if user is admin / moderator. At adding Domain mandatory select to which user is applied .. btw .. CWPTerminal is stuck in an installing loop ..

All the best, full steam ahead ....

MySQL / Re: phpMyadmin Error Any user ?
« on: December 24, 2020, 09:40:04 PM »
I had same error on fresh startup of phpMyAdmin, every time , on first start after fresh install, a complaint, of an error and some options being disabled, solution , install newer, reinstall same or whatever version from scratch, the problem is /tmp folder .. now to the solution, a fair warning i don't knw will this damage or erase or in any other way the already present database cluster, so backup .. :
Backup existing phpMyAdmin :
Code: [Select]
mv /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma.baksLets go to .. :
Code: [Select]
cd /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/ .. and download :
Code: [Select]
wget blahblahbla .. just execute them .. :
Code: [Select]
mv phpMyAdmin-4.9.7-all-languages pma
cd /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma
mkdir /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma/tmp
Now this one is important :
Code: [Select]
mysql -u root -ppISQpNih9ZqX < /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma/sql/create_tables.sql... just in case :
Code: [Select]
chown -R nobody:nobody /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/pma/
chmod 4744 tmp
Blowfish secret , at least 32 chars , here (i use nano as editor, personal choice) :
Code: [Select]
$cfg['blowfish_secret'] = ''; /* YOU MUST FILL IN THIS FOR COOKIE AUTH! */
$cfg['blowfish_secret'] = '$2a$07$s4r2eS3qMvw1PdzMlUwYsdffyuftynfugu6erg68AuzH3I3gyoN7ncnSkblZ7iEfcx3Qm'; /* YOU MUST FILL IN THIS FOR COOKIE AUTH! */
... and here is the devil himself (still open .. after blowfish key insertion) :
Code: [Select]
Navigate down few rows to this key $cfg['SaveDir'] = ''; and add this below > $cfg['TempDir'] = '/tmp/';(Control+o > Enter > Control+x) Save>Exit>Reboot (just in case)
start phpMyAdmin from the panel > Boooom login page (use user root and password generated at the end of installation of the panel)
and finally ... peace

Now im in a MMA fight with PHP selectors switchers, optional modules just give a hard fight .. ouch, ouch ..

PostgreSQL / Re: how to install the LATEST version of postgresql (v13)
« on: December 24, 2020, 12:28:36 PM »
Now if you want latest phpPgAdmin  this is how (as root) :

Code: [Select]
mv /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/phpPgAdmin /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/phpPgAdmin.baks
cd /usr/local/cwpsrv/var/services/
mv phpPgAdmin-7.13.0 phpPgAdmin

for other versions just change the version numbers in the commands that use them

PostgreSQL / Re: how to install the LATEST version of postgresql (v13)

Hi. this worked for me

Install Repo :
Code: [Select]
dnf -y install -y default Repo :
Code: [Select]
dnf -qy module disable postgresqlNow you will have options installing any version from 9.5 to 13 so we want 13, installing from the CWP panel, so we need to disable all other versions except for 13
Edit pgdg-redhat-all.repo and disable by changing "1" in to "0" under other versions at line "enabled=1" :
Code: [Select]
nano /etc/yum.repos.d/pgdg-redhat-all.repoSave and Exit / Quit (for nano - personal choice is Ctrl+o > Enter > Ctrl+x
Run Update :
Code: [Select]
dnf -y updateNow you should see only v13, Reboot, Login to panel, install from it, wait, trying to refresh a blank page will show, no post install summary or options, now Reboot again (just in case) and phpPgAdmin will show, but server will not start, enable it in panel in "Services Config" > "Startup Services", again  > Reboot, but service wont start, or will try to start with an error, and stop. Execute as root :
Code: [Select]
chown -R postgres:postgres /usr/pgsql-13/bin/.. and now :
Code: [Select]
sudo su - postgres... finaly :
Code: [Select]
/usr/pgsql-13/bin/initdb -D /var/lib/pgsql/13/data/ Reboot - and voila ... v13 up and running ..
