There is no CentOS 8, 9 , etc. They got rid of version number with CentOS when RH killed CentOS 8 early.
It's just CentOS Stream, which is a rolling beta version for RHEL.
The main problem with Stream, is once you are on it, there is no way off that beta version, other than to rebuild the server with a different OS.
With CentOS 7, AlmaLinux or Rocky 8.x, there is an upgrade path to 9.x down the road as soon as CWP releases a version fully compatible with it.

CentOS 7 is EOL.
AlmaLinux 8.x with CWP 8 is what new servers should be using.

Know what you mean, my 1st 2 attempts got messed up because I got distracted.
CWP still won't clean install on AL 9.x as of yet.
I tried messing with the install script, but keeps failing.
The only way to get there is a drawn out process, but I did document, as ELevate doesn't work to do it.
And the scripting to build PHP via CWP or manually like you can on 8 doesn't work.

The ionCube site only mentioned support for 8.2 was added in 13.x

Last ionCube update was 13.0.2 on 2023-09-11, PHP 8.3.0 was just released on 2023-11-23

CentOS stream is a beta OS, and as such will have allot of bugs & security flaws.
@Painkiller88 is right, once your on stream, you are stuck there.
You should go with AlmaLinux 8 that can be upgraded to 9 when CWP supports it.

The problem with Ioncube, is that they want an additional $250 every PHP version now. EX: I have version 12 that allows PHP 5.6-8.0. But they now are on Version 13 for PHP 8.1-8.3.
That's robbery @ $250 each upgrade.
Almost another reason, not to encrypted the PHP files.
So would you have to pay $250 to go from version 10 to 13, or do they really rip of programmers and charge $250 for each step?
(e.g. 9 -> 10 -> 11 -> 12 ->13 = $1000.00 ?)
Would explain why all of CWP is still encrypted with PHP 7.0.

So in CWP is the domain under User Accounts?
If you don't have much there, you can just delete the user with that domain, and recreate it.
Because it's hard to say what this 3rd party application might have done.

Felt a little masochistic today, so did the below on my test box.
Installed AL 8.9, then worked on how to live update to 9.3. (About 7 trials)
Everything seems to work, except can't get PHP to build.

Doesn't even get to that point of asking what modules you want.
With PHP-CGI or PHP -FPM, it gives an "Error - Invalid PHP version." as soon as you select 8.3.0.

Tried to build PHP 8.3.0 on 0.9.8.1172 and it briefly comes up with a Red Error box at the top right and won't build.

It happens.
RH killed off CentOS 8, and created CentOS Stream, which is now a beta version for RHEL, instead of an after-build.
So it's now:
Fedora -> CentOS Stream -> RHEL.
(alpha) -> (beta) -> Release/Production Release
