MySQL / PMA How can a User access phpMyAdmin if i don't wanna open admin panel port

Whats a solution for users to be able to access the PMA Module if i don't wanna upen the Admin Panel to the public?


Why can't this just run over the normal user panel port???

CentOS Configuration / Limit maximum processes - whats a good value

Hi,

what is a good value for preventing fork bombs and limiting max processes?

when i do ulimit -u i see 62570 which seems to be a high value to me.

pgrep -wcu $USER gives me the value 150 back.

is this ok or should i limit this? And if, what would be a good and practicable value?

CentOS 7 Problems / Security Center - How to automate the malware scanner

Hi,

I have seen that in the Security Center my Malware Scanner shows me last scan 14 days ago.
I was wondering how can i set this to automatically scan eg. every day?

I have rkhunter, clam etc all running but this seems to be another scanner as it is not recorgnizing and refreshing the last scan date, except i scan manually.

Any idea how to make this one also work automatically? Maybe by creating a cron for this one?

Postfix / undeliverable mails since latest CWP Pro update 0.9.8.1082

Since the latest update to CWP PRO 0.9.8.1082 my custom cronjob that sends me a mail summary is sending 3 mails instead of one.

normally i get 1 Mail to a external mail address, since the latest update this cronjob tries to send the mails to summary@servername and log@servername including my correct mail address i normally get the mails.

The external address is now receiving 3 mails (the summary i wanted with this job) and 2 not deliverable mail notifications because something tries to send to summary@ and log@.

What is this, in the changelog i don't see any changes of mail behaviour.

where does this summary@ and log@ comes from?

There are no changes i did on the server which would explain such a behaviour

what is sending the other 2 mails? i never added those addresses anywhere.

CentOS 7 Problems / User Accounts are no longer resetting bandwidth

Seems like my User Accounts no longer resets the monthly limits.

How can i force a reset for some users?

They will hit the monthly bandwidth limit, i need to reset them manually.

Scripts / Reset users monthly Bandwith script

Hi,

It would be nice to have a script to reset a users monthly usage period.

I made a support ticket and it seems there is no way to manually reset a users usage/bandwith period.


This would be a great improvement.

Maybe the support is wrong and there is a way to reset the users period, but how?

Installation / Change Domain Home Dir

Is there any way to change the Home dir of a Domain (Addon Domain)

Actually it is /home/USER/DOMAIN

but as it is impossible using the filesystemlock to work for this directory (it only works for public_html and everything in there) i wanna move my addon domain to /home/USER/public_html/DOMAIN

Any way to do this?

CentOS 7 Problems / Cron Backup Error

Hi,

Since a few days i get this mail every day:

This mail is daily when my backups are done.

My backups are working and i also checked the path to make sure this directory and the cron_newbackup.php file really exists and they do.

What exactly is the problem and how can i solve this?

Updates / Why not implement TLS 1.3 support per default

Hi, i just received the new Update  CWPpro version: 0.9.8.1081 and was a bit disappointed to see a bunch of new Webserver templates but still no TLS 1.3 implementation per default.

It would be very cool if you could implement TLS 1.3 out of the Box in CWP or is there a Reason why you still doesn't have implemented it yet?

Postfix / Mailbox Usage shown wrong in Admin Panel

Hi,

I have a User with a Mailbox that shows me 100% in Admin Panel, but in User Panel and in Roundcube inside the Mailbox it is hardly used.

How can i correct the mailbox size in Admin Panel?

I already used this command: doveadm quota recalc -A but it still shows me this mailbox is full.


any suggestions what i can do next to fix this? The mailbox is not full, the user can send and receive mails, it is just shown wrong in my admin panel.

Updates / Make Backups downloadable direct in User Panel

Hi,

I really would like to see the backups for the users to be downloadable directly in the UCP. This would be a big + in usability and i don't know why this isn't supported already.

Now you always have to go to the file manager and navigate to the directory instead of having a button to download the backup because we can already delete files so why not download them from the same GUI.

Postfix / How to see if someone is sending mails from my server

Hi,

i can see the logs and so on but i am not really sure if someone is sending mails from my server.

I have lots of sasl auth failed but also some startssl messages in the log.

I am not 100% sure how to know when someone really sends successfully mails over my server.

Can someone tell me how to really interpret these logs and when someone actually made it.

I have set the security with best conscience and all the sender_restrictions etc. but I'm not quite sure if it is really optimal and no one can send except my domain.

Maybe someone who knows more about mailserver and logs can explain this in more detail.

Updates / Add new language to Wordpress wizard in future updates

Hi,

It would be nice if you could add german as a additional selectable language to the Wordpress Wizard in the User Panel.
Most of my customers aren't able to handle simple english and it is also hard for some to install the german lang pack afterwards.

so would be cool to have german lang available in one of the next updates.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / CWP7 UserPanel translation Problem

Hi,

i saw there were a few new updates and checked them, i recorgnized in the User Panel if you use German lang, there is a wrong translation on the WordPress Installer.

i recorgnized it at version 0.9.8.1061 but could be since 0.9.8.1060 where you added some features to the Wordpress Wizard.

Problem:

In the section advanced options you can enter the Username, Database and Password for the DB, but Password is translated to "Bestehen" instead of "Passwort" which would be the correct german translation.

So just something non important.

BTW: Would it be possible to add German as a selectable language for the Wizard, most of my customers can't speak a minimum english and have problems installing a german lang pack after setting up Wordpress
