DNS Manager / Re: rDNS/PTR error
« on: November 21, 2018, 10:55:02 AM »
It's a false positive. http://leafdns.com will show you if your RDNS is set up correctly. In fact you email probably wouldn't work if RDNS wasn't functioning.

Select the 'Activate' tick box under Apache Settings > SSL Certificates > Configure tab & click save

E-Mail / Re: Cant connect mail with OUTLOOK

Can you send/receive email using 'none' security setting as the setup in Outlook? This should tell you if the issue is the SSL or other set up.

What mail server name are you using in your Outlook settings? If your using mail.yourdomainname.com then I think you might need a SSL set up on mail.yourdomainname.com

SSL / Re: SSL Cloudflare does not work.
« on: October 20, 2018, 07:09:15 AM »
Works for me (www.6sense.com.au)

  • Did you set SSL to full(strict) on the Crypto tab in Cloudflare?
  • You should see the statement 'Universal SSL Status Active Certificate' in the same text box on Cloudflare which shows you the SSL certificate is active

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: can't login to phpmyadmin
« on: February 18, 2018, 11:34:21 AM »
Hi,

The MPA login requires your MySQL root password which is very different to your CWP root password & was shown to you when you first installed CWP. Make sure your using the correct password.

The MySQL root password  format looks like this: pAYGH6koKNlU

Hi, I use Cloudflare for all DNS.

  • I have Bind turned off
  • I put Cloudflare IP's in NS IP setup

You also need to add your DKIM & SPF records as text records to Cloudflare if you set these up on CWP mail server.

Have you successfully set up RDNS and unblocked port 25 with your server host?

Apache / Re: ERROR STARTING APACHE - HELP PLEASE PLEASE
« on: September 29, 2017, 02:57:35 PM »
Sounds like a config problem to me. You could get the CWP admins to do a professional install if you ask them nicely and buy a CWP Pro licence.

I host ecommerce sites on servers that run CWP 6 & 7, all are stable with some having an up time greater than 150 days.

If you've installed CWP correctly it's really easy. Just navigate to CWP > Email > MailServer Manager & fill out the Hostname & Domain text fields then click Rebuild Mail Server.

Other things to ensure you do is set up reverse DNS & unblock port 25 at you server host.

Apache / Re: Definitive guide for nginx + apache + SSL?
« on: September 27, 2017, 10:00:45 AM »
In that set up my understanding is nginx only deals with http traffic (CWP > Apache Settings > Select WebServers - will show you what traffic/ports your server handles with what).

I've created a custom setup previously allowing nginx to handle both http & https but it always gets over written when you update CWP.

There has been talk of including a nginx only option in CWP (ie: no apache) )but I have no info if or when this would eventuate.

Installation / Re: How to free space like uninstall ClamAV, AMaViS, etc.
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:24:39 AM »
10GB is a tiny, tiny server & it will continue to be an annoying challenge to keep the file size down.

Why not just upgrade to at least a 25GB VPS. They are highly affordable these days.

Apache / Re: Definitive guide for nginx + apache + SSL?
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:17:21 AM »
The Auto SSL option works well now so you should use that (CWP > Apache settings > SSL Cert Manager). The Let's Encrypt module is being phased out & no longer receives updates.

It's easy to use just click 'AutoSSL' button from within the SSL Cert Manager, choose user/domain & check IP is correct. Then click 'Install SSL'.

Please note that once you make the change to SSL then your nginx reverse proxy becomes obsolete as it doesn't listen on port 443 (unless you modify the nginx hosts file but not recommended as will be over written when CWP updates).

Hope this helps  :)
