upgrade vps memory use

Hi all

I have install webpanel on a vps with 512ram but i have to upgrade to 1g ram and on webpanel show 1g but never use more than 512ram always have 400 ~500 ram not used... is this normal ?

memory usage depends on how your server is loaded, you can rebuild mailserver with spamassassin and antivirus and you will probably use more memory.
