Mail Forwarding but still keep email in the box?
« on: February 02, 2015, 01:40:42 PM »
Hello,

Can anyone show me the way to use the mail forwarding function but still let the mail box keeps those emails?
Currently it doesn't keep anything and just forward the mail only.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks

I've just emailed them about this about making a plugin or adding it in to the Panel. It's exactly what I need too but it doesn't offer it currently.  :'(

I wish I could give you an answer. Soon as the next update has been released I think it could either well be in the update or be released after the update as a plugin or such. Not sure!

He want's to have a mailbox that stores his emails but also forwards the emails to a specific email.

I've tested this by creating a support@ mailbox with a forward that goes to scott@ and it does not work. It just forwards it.

This is my experience as well. As much as I do lie the alias function to prevent email storage on my server, is it also possible to store the message by creating a forward in a different way to retain the email just forward a copy?

it should be simple, create email account and forwarder and then in the forwarder try adding again your email address and the email address where you want to forward the email.

Example -email account test@test.com

Example -forwarder test@test.com

Forward to
test@test.com,my@gmail.com

Hi
When you go to forward you need to separate with , (comma) the forward email addresses

Alias: originalmailbox@youremail.com

then in the box below

originalmailbox@youremail.com,another@email.com,someother@email.com,andanother@email.com

so you forward to the email inbox you want to keep then forward to the ones you want forwards sent/copied to

I have tried the solution.
I have created an email account.
emailaccount@mydomain.com
I have created a forwarder (email alias)
emailaccount@mydomain.com to emailaccount@mydomain.com,someemail@someotherdomain.com

Well it definitely does not work.
I have searched on the web and seen that this is the right solution.
However it seems that Centos web panel postfix configuration does not work with this workaround.
Any other fix?
