I see several references of people using nginx on top of cwp anyone have a guide or a tutorial link to accomplish this?

I believe nginx will be add later, to CWP. Maybe in 1.0 version.

its possible to do Nginx in front of Apache as a reverse proxy with CWP?

I'm interested with this as well.  I will be experimenting with LEMP and Nginx/Apache setup.

nginx as reverse proxy already exists from Version 0.9.8.5 (released 08/04/2015)
