I've just done a transfer, earlier today, which took the website with database, however..
1. emails aren't transferred
2. PHP configuration isn't replicated. I have to revert to the original server, until I figure out the original.

To others, read the documentation and error popups, to setup the API key, ssh keys and open the needed firewall port, using the configserver GUI.

At this time I advise the following:

  • Backup original site using the new (beta) backup
Use scp to transfer the backup to the new site
    Restore (beta) from backup

Except, in this instance it didn't work, so..
I deleted the pre-existing account (from a previous test) and managed to do a CWP->CWP migration. Go figure.

Those little question marks on the GUI are magical; they show help when pressed.  ::)

Since this topic is popular, I'll continue posting here.  I have performed two separate methods to transfer an account from one CWP server to another CWP server.  Reading through the previous posts do not specify results of application restoral.

Both CWP Server versions are the same:  CWPpro version: 0.9.8.994

Method 1:  Transferred using CWP->CWP Migration.
Method 2:  Transferred using NEW Backup (beta), then SCP *.gz file to new CWP server, and lastly restoring *.gz file on new CWP.
Results: Both methods completed as successful reported by CWP.  However, actual applications were not restored.  All files, databases, email, accounts, and folders seem to be transferred successfully.  Just not the applications themselves.

Question:  Am I expecting too much from migration process?  Should the applications such as WordPress and other Softaculous applications be transferred as well? If not, what is the recommended method to transfer the applications also?
