Installation / Re: CentOS Stream Support
« on: December 09, 2020, 11:33:13 PM »till 2024 there is a long time and till then many things can and will change for sure its the same as with any other upgrade, for example, centos 6 to centos 7. However, CWP still recommends CentOS 7.
CloudLinux is talking about releasing a free version that will be based on the main RHEL modules.
We will have to see.
CentOS 8 just had a pretty good update yesterday from 8.2.2004 to 8.3.2011
Over 300 packages updated.

Installation / Re: CentOS Stream Support
« on: December 09, 2020, 11:31:35 PM »This is a REALLY big deal. I've been reading up on this since last night. Here are the big highlights that everyone needs to understand.
- CentOS is essentially becoming beta software. It will no longer carry the reliability and stability it has in past years.
- CentOS 7 will be supported until 2024.
- CentOS 8 will be only supported until Dec 2021 (yes, not a typo)
Lots of good reading on Reddit on the topic...

https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/k95w7b/centos_moving_to_a_rolling_release_model_will_no/
https://www.reddit.com/r/opensource/comments/k9pd39/the_centos_project_just_committed_suicide/
Sounds like the current CentOS community will be jumping ship to Debian, Ubuntu or FreeBSD. There is a possible CentOS fork in the future, also.
I'll be unfortunately leaving CWP Pro with this CentOS announcement and shiting towards Debian and ISPManager. It's a shame because I really liked CWP Pro.
I hate the very short notice for the EOL for CentOS 8 of December 2021.
We just finished migrating from 7 to 8.
RedHat hasn't said what's going to happen to Fedora, but guessing that's ending also, since now Stream is taking it's place as a per-curser to the main RedHat build.
Stream is NOT as stable as CentOS by a long shot.

Do you have a FQDN for your server?
From those errors, I would take a look at your hostname to make sure it has a valid A record.
Also check:
/etc/hosts (This will have your hostname and the main IP of the server)
/etc/hostname (This should just be the name list srv1.domain.tld)
Also running that from the cli command, it doesn't ask for a UN/PW like a normal mailbox.

Softaculous / Re: SOFTACULOUS WHMCS auto install module does not support CWP panel
« on: December 09, 2020, 04:39:43 AM »SOFTACULOUS WHMCS auto install module does not support CWP panel , SOFTACULOUS
because CWP has not provided us API how we can login to their panel using PHP and perform the installation.
Only if we get such API from CWP team we can make this module compatible with CWP.
Erh.
I used Softaculous on CentOS 7 with CWP to install WHMCS initially.
Only probably I had, is the Free version of Softaculous wouldn't install it, you had to have the Paid version of Softaculous.
I even have Softaculous running on CWPpro 0.9.8.1025 and CentOS 8.
No problems. Enabled it under Script Installers.

Don't see a Ioncube version for PHP 8 yet.
But PHP 8 isn't backwards compatible. So this could get interesting.

Information / Re: CentOS 8 Support - When or Never???
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:48:09 AM »
We've been running CentOS 8 on the servers for a couple months.
So far, no problems.
Just some minor problems using the migration tool due to the firewall.

Information / Re: Did CWP support IPV6?
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:45:19 AM »hi, you can manually configure or create vhosts templates for websites with ipv6 configs.
Sandeep,
If you could post an example that would be great.
Allot of use want IPv6 support, and are just running Apache and not Nginx.

Login to your server with SSH, and run the following lines.
Make sure postfix is running: systemctl status postfix
Send a test message from the cli (update user@ to your email):
echo "Test mail from postfix" | mail -s "Test Postfix" user@gmail.com

Installation / Re: I purchased a CWPPRO licnese, how to install it?
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:23:47 AM »Does the license need any installation/activation? I haven't received any keys.
The CWP license goes by your IP address, as such there is no license key to install.
You can login and check this at: https://support.centos-webpanel.com/clientarea.php
If it is correct, you can force the update by using: sh /scripts/update_cwp
If you are using CentOS 7, make sure this is installed also: yum install perl-DBD-MySQL

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: php 7.2 and 7.3 do not work on centos-webpanel
« on: November 27, 2020, 12:58:15 AM »
Usually you get the 500 error due to permissions.
Try to run Fix User Permission under User Accounts.
CWP doesn't create or have a /php-cgi folder, you might want to check your scripts config for that one.
We have the latest 7.4.12 running on CWPpro .1023 with CentOS 8 without problems.

OK, I'm confused.
It looks like you are trying to change directories, run PHP, then run a command from another path, and then send the results to a null file.
What exact command are you trying to run with cron?
If you want, PM me back or post it here.
