Information / Re: CentOS 8 Support - When or Never???
« on: September 24, 2020, 04:27:33 PM »I would not recommend you upgrade 7=>8. The best way to reinstall OS.
+1
We brought up new CentOS 8 servers then used the CWP to CWP Migrate tool.
Every doc I found on upgrading CentOS 7 to 8 did not work at all.

Apache / Re: htaccess not working on /usr/local/apache/htdocs
« on: September 23, 2020, 05:10:47 PM »
Why are you trying to use the pageholder/Main website?
From what I have noticed that directory/site doesn't have any permissions for PHP or .htaccess
We just have a generic HTML file that replaced the Default one.

That definitely should be enough.
Usually clam has a problem with a single CPU and 1-2GB of RAM

Information / Re: Suporte ao CentOS 8 - Quando ou Nunca???
« on: September 22, 2020, 10:45:59 PM »here also no error, i'm thinking of migrating my sites to this version.
As long as you don't need the website stats from Go Access.
Also for some reason with the same CWP Version, 7.3.22 doesn't show as an option like it does on CentOS 7.
Which is weird, same CWP version.
But we migrated already, only thing that had a problem was the mailboxes didn't recreate using the CWP to CWP Migrate.

wget http://centos-webpanel.com/cwp-el8-latest
sh cwp-el8-latest
Yes, those are the instructions at https://control-webpanel.com/installation-instructions#step4
No errors following them so far.

Also have CWPpro version: 0.9.8.1008 running on CentOS 8 with Kernel 5.8.10 and MariaDB 10.5.5
Only issues is GoAccess doesn't work, and the PHP Switched doesn't still have 7.3.22 listed to update.
Slave DNS Manager is running on one of these servers.

Updates / Re: Update MariaDB-server and phpMyAdmin
« on: September 20, 2020, 10:44:38 PM »
I've use this guide to upgrade from the stock 10.1 to 10.4 without problems on CWP CentOS 7 servers.
https://www.mysterydata.com/update-upgrade-to-mariadb-10-4-on-vestacp-cwp-centos-7/
I'm not sure how it will work, since you've already tried to upgrade though.

DNS / Re: CNAME Some fields is not valid value
« on: September 20, 2020, 09:59:48 PM »
CNAME usually only works for your domain name.
e.g. ww2. pointing to domainname.com, etc.
To point it to another domain name like they want you are going to have to use a TXT record.

DNS / Re: dns cluster
« on: September 20, 2020, 09:44:09 PM »Hello,
i search about solution can provide me dns cluster or any server have control panel like cpanel and directadmin
is the webpanel can provide me this solution and can install it insted of my cpanel and directadmin server to can cluster all dns on this server
please advice me if this can't be done with webpanel
Thanks
Yes it can.
There is a good images that shows how it can be setup in the wiki like cynique already posted.
You can do it a couple different ways, the most common is the Server that runs the webserver, etc. can be you PRI DNS, and then the DNS Manager can be your SEC DNS, or one of the DNS2 Servers.
CWP Like cPanel doesn't charge to be able to do DNS Clustering, which is nice.
