Looks like alphagnu.com is down.
The SSL certificate is expired. :/

Well the official response from Igor/CWP is "too bad".

CWP doesn't support AL9, and isn't any time soon, and does NOT support MariaDB 10.11 on CWP either...

Was just informed CWP will not support AL9 any time soon, and does NOT even support MariaDB 10.11 in a rude message from Igor...

DO NOT UPGRADE TO MARIADB 10.11

WAS JUST TOLD BY IGOR/CWP THAT IT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY CWP...

Only the version installed with their installer is supported by CWP if you need help...

Let me know if you find the Let's Encrypt IP's.

I tried, and gave up searching for them to whitelist.

Doing the ELevate process on a production server scares me a bit, i have never done it (in the past i always have setup a new server with a newer OS every 6-8 years and migrated the sites/emails from one server to the other)

Right now i have been stagnating on Centos7, paying for the extended support, because i'm not sure if i should wait for AL9 or go to AL8 and again in 3-4 years do an other migration...

It's better to setup a new server.
ELevate could leave some ghosts in the system.

AL8 is good with security updates until 2029-05-31

AL9 is active until 2027-05-31, with security updates until 2032-05-31

And AL10, IF CWP version ever gets that version going, is active until 2030-05-31, and security updates until 2035-05-31

https://wiki.almalinux.org/release-notes/

Seems like CWP main problem is they are still trying to support the older obsolete OS'es like CentOS 7 and PHP versions.
That seems to be holding back the needed development for the new OS'es that is needed.

They need to kill CentOS 7 support, it's been long enough past EOL and work on AL9 and AL10.

Other control panels have done this, and some have AL10 versions out or coming out soon.
While CWP is stuck on CentOS 7 and AL8.

[End of rant, I apologize]

Try to use the CWP install script.

That fix is old, and apparently things have changed in their repo for installation.

PHP Selector / Re: Support for PHP 8.4
« on: November 25, 2025, 08:18:33 PM »
ionCube has to catch up also.

Currently 15.5.0 is in beta with PHP 8.5 support.

Quote
2025-11-21   15.5.0 BETA   Beta release of PHP 8.5 loaders for Linux that will run encoded files produced by the PHP 8.4, 8.3 & 8.2 Encoders. These loaders should only be used for testing and not in production.

You can still manually add PHP 8.4 and 8.5 using the guide at AlphaGNU.

No news about AL10.

I've tried a couple other control panels that say they 'support' AL10.
But they are all flaky.

DNS / Re: Setting Up DNS Slaves

Ditto.

It's just easier using Cloudflare.

CWP DNS Cluster only working works with an old PHP version, and it's proprietary to CWP.

The IMAP module was removed from the PHP core by The PHP Group (aka the group who writes PHP, php.net).

You now have to manually install it from PECL.
