DNS / Re: ip manager to delete ip
« on: August 21, 2024, 02:43:31 PM »
Any IP deletions from the server need to be done using nmtui or manually editing that interfaces config file.
You are correct IP Manager is still in Beta, only is designed to work with IPv4, and if you try it, it might corrupt the server.

Information / Re: Guide or Posts about Migrating to CWP from cPanel
« on: August 21, 2024, 05:11:19 AM »
The user interface is on ports 2082 & 2083 (SSL)
Here's a complete list of the ports:
https://kb.starburstservices.com/control-web-panel-cwp/control-web-panel-cwp-admin-tutorials/commonly-used-ports-control-web-panel-cwp/
You have to use the built-in FileManager, DB backups are in /backup/mysql and then /daily, /weekly, /monthly.
To restore a backup you have to use phpMyAdmin under SQL Services.
This is also where the MariaDB Manager is at, it's called MySQL Manager.
You can create databases & users there.
To access CLI, depends on how your provider offer console access via their site or VNC.
For SSH, I would recommend Bitvise. But that comes down to personal preference.
If you have questions, feel free to ask.
We're running CWP under AlmaLinux 8.x and 9.x

I haven't done it in over 4 years, but back then it was easy, just backup the site in cPanel, download the archive and the upload it to CWP and do the import.
There is a Wiki at:
https://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/how-to-migrate-account-from-cpanel
@overseer might have done it most recently than I have.

CentOS 9 Problems / Re: Can receive but not send emails out
« on: August 20, 2024, 03:23:40 PM »
If you have OpenPGP installed in Thunderbird, it should give you an option at the top to 'Encrypt' the email.
I never recommend sending password over PM or UnEncrypted methods.
But sometime it has to be done.
Set a temp password, and send me a PM.
Then afterwards you can reset the password.

Updates / Re: How to update Mariadb to 11.1?
« on: August 20, 2024, 03:19:11 PM »
MariaDB 10.11 is the current LTS version and works fine with WordPress 6.6.x
Currently all others only have a 1 year update life form the time they are first released.
There is a guide at:

CWP has CSf/LFD built-in.
Just need to activate and configure it to suit your requirements.
Then there is also Mod Security.

Could you please advise of the following:
What 'errors' and/or 'messages' are being displayed in the logs?
What distro are you trying to install CWP onto?
VPS or Dedicated?
Public or NAT?

MySQL / Re: Can not update MariaDB
« on: August 18, 2024, 05:01:21 AM »
I think some of the MariaBD mirrors are killing off CentOS also to save space.
So if you get errors there, don't be surprised.
Maybe try RHEL 7, if still an option.

CentOS 9 Problems / Re: Can receive but not send emails out
« on: August 18, 2024, 04:58:17 AM »
Just fought with another server tonight, nothing was wrong.
Turned out the provider was at fault...
Even though they said they had opened port 25...
CLI test wouldn't even go out.
Spoke to a 3rd support person, and don't know what they did, but the tests started flooding in after 4.5 hours...
But I can look at it.
Do you have an encrypted email account using OpenPGP?

Try to rebuild your mail server, if that fails let me know.
If you want I can login and took a look, but won't charge you.

Will try that if it happens again.
To get the mirror back operational, so it can be attacked by script kiddies in India I just deleted and re-imaged the MariaDB repo.
Bringing up a server just for the MariaDB repo mirror in India with AL9 now.
And will see how it does with rsync enabled.

Try adding port 465 for SMTP.
Also try disabling csf/lfd, and if outgoing email doesn't work, then that would point to the upstream blocking ports somewhere.
